  1. Mysteriously fixed itself about a week ago for me, Fraser had said it looked like something to do with updates/cloud related. Im back on the latest firmware all good!
  2. Seems to have resolved itself for me, Netgear support suggested I set my DNS to static but didn't get round to it either way!
  3. The more people reporting the issue the quicker/more likely it is to be resolved I assume! As frustrating as it is its re-assuring that its affecting multiple people, I assume it will be resolved fairly quickly!
  4. Thanks Fraser, appreciate your assistance on here I've only been using the forum since this issue arose but I see you responding to everyone constantly! Is there definitely (or likely at least) a problem at your end (cloud related)? I've been trying to rule out the issue being BT's supply, they have tested the line and say nothing is wrong with it and the lights on the ONT are all solid, my last step is to set up the BT hub as the main router but I really want to avoid that if I can.. I just know I'll screw the whole network once I start messing with it!
  5. Issue is back tonight with the older firmware, so that hasn't resolved!
  6. Thank you, please let us know when resolved so I can update back to newest firmware
  7. Further update, DumaOS offered me an 'update' to 1.1.0.16_2.1.25 (even though I was on 1.1.0.22) I let it update and now says 1.1.0.16_2.1.25 on the top, but is still offering an update and when I click the update button it says my current version is 1.1.0.16 and the new version is 1.1.0.16_2.1.25 (the version the top bar say's I'm already on!?) I've disabled auto updates and left as is, as CPU usage seems a lot lower and CPU2 appears to kick in a lot more than before, I can force it to drop out if I spam webpages and try to run speedtest at the same time, but under normal usage it doesn't seem to drop out as easily now. I've re-enables DoS protection too. My gut says its tied to the CPU usage but I'm at a loss otherwise!
  8. Disabling Port Scan and DoS protection seems to resolve the issue.. Is it an issue to leave this disabled? Spoke too soon, definitely makes it less frequent but certainly still happening.
  9. I appear to be having the exact same issue, I've just created a post and then noticed this one! Edit - I seem to have had some luck 'downgrading' to 1.1.0.16_2.1.25, it randomly offered me this through the DumaOS when trying to mess around with settings, I've disabled auto updates for now. I can still force it to drop out if I load a tonne of web pages and Speedtest.net seems to be a problem, whatever it is though seems to spike the CPU usage and kill download/upload speed but not completely 'disconnect'. Same as you I can ping game servers and actually get really quick responses, but can't load google.
  10. Set up.. BT Fibre 1G XR1000 Main Router XR500 AP BT Hub AP (Sort of) Issue.. Past couple of days my internet has been dropping out only when browsing the web, its seems random but I seem to be able to force a drop out by running speedtest.net. (it isn't exclusive to this, but definitely repeatable when running test) The connection isn't completely disconnecting, speedtest reports it may be blocked by a firewall and if i try to access any other website for a minute or 2 they will not connect, however i can continue to stream music and tv on the same and separate devices. I tried disconnecting the BT hub just in case it was interfering in some way, made no difference, and the problem occurs if i use a device through the BT hub, which seems to rule out the XR500 as the BT hub connects direct to the XR1000. I've done the whole reboot process and reset through the software to no avail, going to try factory reset in about 20 mins once partner is finished working. Anyone had any experience of this, I can't see anything in the logs other than the usual DoS and they don't really correlate with the dropouts, I've tried disabling the firewall on PC/Laptop but no difference. Edit - Seems to coincide with high router CPU usage HELP
