Hi, trying to explain my issue if solvable:
I'm on PC and I have an ISP that requires PppoE, i read many post here and i think i did everythink right. I have a Nighthawk D7000 that manage PppoE, disabled all wi-fi, ddos protection, put the local IP of XR1000 on DMZ.
On XR1000, i have these setting (sorry 4 Italy language i hope is understandable anyway) on the files, and QOS with this trick work also on upload and fine, but i have a "little issue": I have Vdsl fiber with rame
70 down / 20 up and with qos i put 58 down /17 up and many times i hit A on waveform test. Sometimes I hit B cause everytime i do the test on Upload and sometimes on Download i have a "spike" that go over 300/400 ms. There is a way to possibly avoid/reduce this? Contact ISP excluded.
I've tried TCP optimizer  some tips but only work on Download side but i remove it because i think cause hitreg problem on FPS.

It's not a risk, you're not forwarding any ports, just prioritizing them. The origin port could be anything but likely to be the same as the port mentioned
