Update. After yesterday’s update to Call of Duty the Geo-Filter has now started working with the Game Pass Version. -

Ok thanks but the workaround doesn’t work with the EE Wi-Fi enhancer because there is no way of changing the device type. -

Geofilter not working on Call of Duty PC Xbox version.

I tried that earlier, the only thing I seem to be able to do is rename the device by clicking the three dots at the top right. No options to change the device type. -

Thanks for the quick reply Fraser. How do I go about changing the device type? Is it on the EE app? -
I have been using Geofilter with the PC Steam version of Call of Duty since it was released and it works well. With the new Call of Duty being on the gamepass I have started playing the Xbox PC version but Geofilter doesnt seem to work at all with this version of the game. I have tried multiple restarts of both the Router and PC aswell as also doing a factory reset of the Router but It still does not work when playing the Xbox PC version but as soon as I start the Steam version it works normally. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the new Call of Duty is coming out on Friday and would like to have the Geofilter working so I can play the Xbox PC version and don't have to purchase the Steam version.

I noticed since switching to the R3 my ping was a few ms worse in games and not as stable as when using the ISP router (EE Smart Hub Plus). I initially thought this was a symptom of having the R3 connected through the ISP router (currently required due to getting slow speeds on R3 with PPPoE). I have since tested both configurations and get consistantly worse ping, jitter and speeds when using the netduma in either configuration. I have steady ping disabled despite it reactivating every time the R3 reboots which is rather annoying and tried testing with smart boost on and off. Using ping, jitter and speed tests to confirm, Modem > ISP Router = 16-18ms ping, always less than 1ms jitter and always over 900Mbps on speed tests. Modem > ISP Router > Netduma R3 = 16-26ms ping, always over 2ms jitter and between 650-800Mbps on speed tests. Modem > Netduam R3 = 16-28ms ping, around 2ms jitter and since firmware update am getting 600-800Mbps on speedtests. Is there anything I can do to improve this as I currently seem to be getting worse performance with the R3 than with my ISP Router which is surprising as I expected the opposite. First screenshot is Modem > ISP Router ping and jitter tests Second screenshot is Modem > ISP Router > Netduma R3 Third Screenshot is Modem > Netduam R3

thank you very much for your help.

yes the laptop I am using to change smart hub settings gets IPv6, if you are confident of a fix for the PPPoE issue I might not bother attempting to fix this as it doesnt seem to be causing any major problems.
-
I noticed that too, I think it changed after factory resetting the smart hub. After rebooting both how you suggested the R3 is still showing as host_1 on the smart hub and IPv6 is still not working. You mentioned you think you can resolve the PPPoE speed issue, do you have any idea when that will be as I think that will resolve the rest of these issues.

ULA disabled on the hub, IPv6 Disabled on R3 advanced LAN settings and rebooted. Still not getting IPv6 from R3.
-
should I leave ULA disabled on the smart hub?
-
ok, i factory reset the ee smart hub then disabled ULA and the R3 is now showing as a IPV6 device in the address table but IPV6 is still not working when connected to the R3.
-
sorry, it has stateless or off

There are no options for modem or bridge mode unfortunately. These are the screenshots of the settings I can change on the EE Smart Hub Plus.

Thanks for your help I have been able to get it working Modem > R3, and Modem > EE Smart Hub Plus > R3 but both have their own issues so not sure which direction to take. My ISP is EE and the package is a 900 download, 110 upload. With Modem > R3, I only get a maximum 50% download speed, this may be a EE problem as I have seen other people mention similar issues when using third party routers on 900Mbps connection only getting 500-600Mbps, mine seems to max at around 450Mbps when connected Modem > R3. Are there any settings I can try on the R3 to try and get the speed correct? With Modem > EE Smart Hub Plus > R3, I get the full download speed but can't get IPV6 working and can't get Open NAT on call of duty on PC which was Open on the EE Smart Hub. I have the R3 WAN IP in the EE Smart Hub Plus DMZ and set to static IP. I have tried testing NAT with Geo Filter turned off, my PC in the R3's DMZ to rule out any port forwarding issues, and turned windows firewall off and still can't get Open NAT on call of duty on PC. As for the IPV6 problem, I have screenshots of the EE Smart Hub Plus config settings I can post to see if you think any of them can resolve it or are there settings on the R3 I need to change to get IPV6 working?

I ran into a problem trying this as after skipping through the setup I just get this screen with an endless loading circle. Would it be worth setting it up the other way connected to my current router and then trying to change the settings once it is setup?
-
Ok, will give that a try as ideally I want it to replace my current router completely, thanks

I will try that now, I did find the settings I needed, apparently it’s pppoe but I the R3 did not accept the username as valid.
