  1. I already asked several days ago to apply for early access with the google "thing", but still no answer. The email I've set is the same of my account here in the forum (but of course is different from the real thing I used to purchase the R2), I'd really appreciate if you could take a look into this, cause I feel my request has gone lost at this point. Thanks.
  2. How many LAN ports does your "modem" have ?
  3. In the middle of a troubleshooting about a Public IP display issue I noticed something I believe is relevant to improve the overall experience with the OS in some scenarios. For some reason, when connected through Static IP on the WAN side, some functions are working, others wont if you dont use DNS Override, as an example, auto-setup for QoS wont work, so does the update feature of both Ping Heatmap and Geo-Filter, even being confident with the matter, the thing isn't immediately getting your attention, since Connection Benchmark works regardless of this setting, you can navigate flawlessly even with the function turned off. I also noticed that Ping Heatmap works flawlessy for every game, except MW2 and Warzone 2 servers, this in Static IP mode even with DNS Override disabled but while a database has previously been loaded, at my very first setup, about a month ago, I did set up the R2 at first in PPPOE and only afterwards I switched to its final config in Static IP mode. A consequence of the missing DNS Override entry in the Static IP config while in the welcome setup is responsible of a load of errors in the initial configuration wizard and, if not taken care of, even later. I had to factory reset my R2 in the aforementioned try to troubleshoot a wrong info reported in one of its tabs (Network Status) thus I had the chance to notice the issue starting this time directly with a Static IP config in the initial wizard. Now everything seems to work correctly, or at least more smoothly, except the Static IP field which keeps displaying arbitrarily what he wants. As a recap, in Static IP mode you can navigate, benchmark your connection and do other things with DNS Override disabled, but some functions wont work, I suggest the team to include DNS Override in the initial setup-wizard of the router when selecting Static IP, cause, if I'm not wrong or blind and if my dumb mind didn't just "skip" it, it's missing, otherwise many parts of the wizard itself will fail no matter if you are an "advanced" or a "dumb-as-a-brick" user. Now the dreadful doubt I just didn't pay attention assails me, did I just dont give a sheet about it, or it's not there ? I know that most users will choose PPPOE as the preferred way to connect R2 to the internet (on a side note I deeply hope to see in a not too far future a P-Bit aka Priority Bit field in PPPOE WAN config), but in my view if something (Static IP) is there, it should work without bringing troubles along, not giving the chance to the user to config DNS Override in the actual state does bring troubles. I hope this feedback could help to solve some headscratches.
  4. Actually the R2 is configured to static IP as DMZ to the gateway (no security concerns, I just use it for my gaming consoles and a laptop I use for accessing its web interface), its WAN IP reported address is the IP of its configured WAN interface (in a /24 subnet), which is correct, if I switch to PPPOE (relying on the PPPOE passthrough protocol on the gateway) the correct public IP is displayed in the WAN IP field, but in both cases the Public IP field stays the same, stuck to an old value in the range of one of my provider's pools. I tried switching back and forth from static to pppoe and viceversa several times (not dhcp, since I've disabled it on the gateway) and rebooting the router with no results, that Public IP shown seems iron cast and is definitely wrong, since the Public IP of the gateway has changed like tens of times in the past weeks. I assume it should display the actual Public IP dynamically assigned to the gateway from the provider while in static and the same value as WAN IP when in PPPOE, am I wrong ?
  5. Unfortunately, as I said, the external IP address in Sys Info Network Status doesn't update, regardless whether you reboot the device 12 times or shoot it with a 12 gauge, it's stuck I believe on the very first IP it has seen a month ago or so, even if it doesn't affect anything, could be nice to have it display a correct info. I'm definitely enjoying the thing, otherwise I'd not be here, and thanks for the invite to apply for early access, I'll do my best to help the thing shine even more.
  6. After about one month of use, except the "vanishing" of MW2 servers which is actually WIP AFAIK, my experience with R2 is giving me mixed feelings. Hardware-wise it's ok, I'd like more HP under the hood, but is "enough" to do its job. Let's talk now about 3.2.453 on R2. The Congestion Control and QoS part seems to work very well, finally bufferbloat is no more a thing in my home network, but I think there are parts of the OS in deep need of improvements. Just to mention a couple things, in System Information, the Network Status tab doesn't display the correct external IP address, but the very first one the system has seen, from a month ago (it doesn't refresh the info), while in the Installed Rapps tab every switch is just greyed-out, cosmetic, I'm not allowed to "pause" or shut-down anything nor to make any change in whether or not I want every rapp to start at boot-up. It could be useful to just tell the system to not boot-up some unused rapp, to save system resources and make everything in use more snappy, I'd highly appreciate to be able to tell the system, just as an example, to not initialize the ad-block rapp which I don't make use of, or any other one. To better explain another thing in which I'd like to see improvements I cannot avoid to mention the Geo-Filter and Ping Heatmap assembly: Fast Search is not defined in the contextual help nor anywhere else to my knowledge, I'd like to know what it does, there is no way to manually add the IP of a server-client to a block/allow list, you can do it only through the Ping tab in the Geo-Filter "rapp", of course only if you could catch on the fly the desired IP (almost impossible if Auto-Ping is on), while in the Ping Heatmap rapp you can add an IP to a list, but everything you can do is just that, or "ping" that list, while you cannot interact anymore (except for deletion) with the allowed/blocked list in the Geo-Filter side, in which, furthermore, you have no clue on the IP address behind the ID of the node. In a perfect world I'd like to see a merge between Geo-Filter and Ping Heatmap or, to say at least, a better interoperability between the two "rapps", a better interaction between shared (and useful) lists, context menus to allow/block/ping everything in sight, a "slow mode" for Auto-Ping (otherwise is almost useless), I'd like to not see anymore an IPv6 entry in the logs while IPv6 is disabled everywhere, I'd like to see blocked servers icons in Geo-Filter while ATM it seems the system never-ever blocks anything, I'd like to see "functioning" toggle switches for rapps to start or not, I'd like to have an overall more polished experience. Please don't get me wrong, being english not my first language, I know there's the risk I could be misunderstood, to be crystal clear, I love DumaOS, I think the idea behind it is just "genius", what I'd like to say is just I think you guys have gold in your hand, I hope you can make it shine a lot more ... and I'll be glad to help. Thanks for bearing with me in this long post and keep up your excellent job.
  7. Currently a block (the 15.161 one) of Fortnite servers belonging to Amazon Data Service Italy, actually located in Milano - Italy (e.g. 15.161.167.210, - 10.33, - 80.56, - 0.172) are displayed on the Ping Heatmap as if they were in Cyprus. Oopsie, really sorry, I forgot this was a COD support thread, I thought it was for general mislocated servers, I hope you can forgive me and make use of the info anyway...thanks.
  8. As in title, my MWII servers on ping-heatmap (on R2, latest firmware) are no more there, for every other game servers are correctly displayed. Everything started some days ago, with the latest game update (season 1 reloaded), at first just 2 servers could be found with a woefully high ping (around 275-276ms), now every-each-one of the 38? 36? servers in the list are failing, they simply doesn't answer anymore. I tried almost everything in my knowledge (I'm an IT pro for a living), except resetting the whole router, it highly seems AB has done some hardening to their network to lock out ICMP monitoring, if not, something has gone down the drain in my R2 database. Before popping my "ultimate" (factory reset, probably useless, since only MWII and WZII are no more pingable), I'd like to have feedback from you. Except this, as a general feedback, QoS works like a charm, but it seems geomap never worked as intended, since the beginning of my experience both servers and users were often displayed as ping-assist ones even with ping-assist disabled or while standing within the borders of the polygon mode I'm using, auto-ping seems just cosmetic in its current state, sometimes it only allows a fraction of a second to keep an eye on what's happening, let alone react to its job, now many users (whom I'm sure doesn't have changed a single bit in their network config) are completely not displayed anymore, the feeling is "it's unstable at best". On a side note, as a suggestion, I'd like to see context menus to black/whitelist servers and users and maybe the ability to manually add a desired IP to a list, or, in general, let say "more flexibility for users, either basic or advanced ones". Thanks in advance.
