  1. Liam! Awesome, and thank you! I have factory reset my XR1000 again, and set it up via the starting web interface. This setup config will have to be my 'band-aid' until you guys have solid data on Fortnite again and maybe a cloud update for us all. Thanks in advance! Device Manager: my computers are set to DEVICE: Computer QoS Settings - Congestion Control: Always On @ 70% of 1000Mbps for UL & DL. - Bandwidth Allocation: by Application(Livestream, Gaming, & Uncategorized) have Queue Priority for both UL & DL. - Share Excess - is enabled for both UL& DL Geo-Fence - is setup with my devices, but does not see any servers while gaming. Because my computers are set as COMPUTER under the Device Manager.
  2. I know, right? That is why my ping is currently sketchy, I have to run QoS by DEVICE and not by Application(I stated this in the past). So therefore, Fortnite data is at the mercy of FIFO on the queue as all other data heading for that device, gaming traffic is not being pushed to the front of the queue. I also had Congestion control set to either Always On or Auto. If QoS saw the data from Fortnite as 'gaming data' like it used to. It would have gone to the front of the queue like it was doing prior. I give it bandwidth because its a computer, and I am running the other programs related to streaming. I do not want these two computers not to have enough bandwidth, or have it taken by another 'big talker' asking for data on my LAN while I'm gaming. That was the entire reason I purchased the XR1000. This used to work. I should not have to have QoS set to "be DEVICE" for a supported game/ Game Engine. I should be able to set as DEVICE: Computer TYPE: Fortnite or Unreal Engine Something changed for it to stop working as it did. We know Epic patched Fortnite, and iirc, NetDuma was updated as well. Thereby breaking the working config I had on my router prior from 2022.06.27 up until this date range: 2022.09.07 - 2022.09.11(when I really noticed this was not an anomaly and it was consistent. this was not my normal with the XR1000 configured) I am requesting that Fornite be re-evaluated. I do not think it is being seen correctly while in game.
  3. The Geo-Filter is seeing a server, and QoS is still not seeing the gaming data properly from Fortnite. I still can not have QoS by Application I have to set it to DEVICE. Even though this is "KIND OF" working currently. My ping is still erratic now, as without QoS by Application. My ping, latency and game feel in Fortnite is still not what I had prior to whatever happened in the beginning of September. So I'm not sure if it is what changed in the patch update Epic Games pushed out v21.51, or changes/ updates to NetDuma code on the backend, or a combination of both. I had the XR1000 running the Geo-Filter for both of my computers, as DEVICE: Computer TYPE: Fortnite. My QoS was setup to prioritize by Application. This worked from my, "Out of Box setup" in June of this year until recently, and it was amazing. I had made no changes to my router, or would play with the router settings prior to I noticed teh Geo-filter and QoS were no longer working like they did.
  4. 1. I exited the Fortnite, and the Epic Games Launcher. I then removed my device in the Geo-Fence, and resynced its cloud for S&Gs. 2. in device Manager, I set my computers Device: Computer TYPE: Unreal Engine, SAVED it and RESYNCED its cloud. 3. I went back to Geo-Fence and added my device to filter as Device: Computer TYPE: Unreal Engine, the wizard then showed me the list of options(games) to filter. I selected Unreal Engine and completed the wizard. The ADD DEVICE Wizard did not Auto-Magicly have the filter enabled, and I was not able to toggle/ ENABLE the filter on my device in Geo-Fence(but I was able to enable the filter when it was Device: PlayStation TYPE: Unreal Engine ). 4. I went back into Device Manager, and set my computer as a PlayStation(sigh). Saved it and resynced its cloud. 5. back into Geo-Fence and ran the ADD DEVICE Wizard. I added my computer to the Geo-Fence Filter and let it, "recommend a mode for my game", clicked CONTINUE, scrolled down and selected "Unreal Engine", and clicked NEXT. And cleared the message that it was added successfully. 6. go back into Geo-Fence and I had to enable the Filtering Mode. I then waited 2 minutes. (then my youngest stopped over, thus delaying me wrapping this up.) 7. start Fortnite and let's see what we get. I'll start up a game now.
  5. I just tried it as DEVICE: Console, TYPE: Unreal Engine. I think this actually worked. I want to test it as DEVICE: Computer, TYPE: Unreal Engine. I'll brbiab ... 😁
  6. the above "psudo works", I think it is setup as Fortnite for the filter, I want to verify that is what the add device wizard selected, I thought I clicked manual. n I also want to test the filter as DEVICE: PlayStation TYPE: Unreal Engine While I did show my server in Geo-Filter, I was like, alright now we are getting somewhere. I had a 10ms-13ms PING on Spawn Island, and Game Data was being seen by Network Monitor. Once I dropped into the actual game play, my ping was going between 13ms - 30ms or higher, and I was getting some packet loss as we settled in to the match. I generally do not have packet loss at all with the XR1000 and QoS working properly. I did have a minute or two that I was close to a Zero Ping, but then it spiked back up in the 20s when I got into fights. What is NetDuma actually doing or looking for that it would prioritize gaming traffic on a console more than a PC? The client/ server data stream should be the the same
  7. right on, I didn't realize that was an option. lol log-1665335147078.txt
  8. Geo-Filter is still not working correctly. First, I did a RESYNC on the Ping Heatmap, then I loaded up Fortnite and started a SOLO game. In Network Monitor it was showing gaming data as I went from my Party Lobby(main screen PLAY/ Battle Pass/ locker/ Etc.) to Spawn Island(lobby before jumping out of the bus). Geo-Filter did not have any servers listed and Network Monitor was still showing a bit of gaming data. (gaming data and web data were both red, but different shades ... Gaming Data was dark or a brick red). While in game, Geo-Filter still had no servers listed. My PING would bounce around from 0ms - 40ms, I seemed to be averaging 15ms - 20ms. Normally my ping is 0ms - 10ms on NA-East, there are a couple servers in the farm that I get almost a 20ms PING. In the past I have not looked to see the specific IP Addresses of these servers. Nor have I flagged or blocked them in the geo-Fence. log-1665332939357.txt
  9. right on, right on! Log File from the bottom of the System Information, not the actual 'router log' from SETTINGS > MONITOR > LOG OOF! So I saw that my TIME.ZONE was set to -8GMT which is not for my location. I actually have TWO log dumps, I have the log dump that was running from the re-image of v1.0.0.64_1.0.49 Friday night, and then a second log dump after correcting my Time.Zone. I did CLOUD RESYNCs in the Ping Heatmap prior to the log file dumps. log-1665324857877.txt log-1665323586131.txt
  10. When I do the RESYNC CLOUD in Ping Heatmap, should there be verbiage in the log file? Currently I am not getting any log activity about syncing cloud data.
  11. all good, no worries. I did the RESYNC in Heatmap, but my current logs do not show or refer to syncing data for NetDumaOS since I rebuilt from image file. I want to say that I had that in logs prior, but I only checked logs once or twice since June. I grabbed the log from Settings > Monitoring > Log
  12. No sir, that is the entire log since the re-image. I only swapped out my internal MAC Addresses, I prefer not to have them listed/ posted on a public forum. I did not 'flush' the cloud. I didn't know that was an option without doing a factory reset. I 're-synced' CLOUD in each section prior to grabbing the log, Geo-Fence, Ping Heatmap, QoS and Device Manager. I do not know where to give the command to 'flush'. I am only doing this via web interface in Chrome from Win10. Should I be using some other way? Is there a console, and or a list of commands as opposed to using the web interface?
  13. Right on, when I tested Warzone, Geo-filter did not work. I was in Solo mode though. Anyhooooo, here is the log file since the re-image. Hopefully it helps you find some clues or see an issue there. 2022.10.08 log file.sKIz.XR1000.txt
  14. I did test with other games, I posted my results and added screen shots. Some worked with Geo-Filter and some did not. If it is a setting or option on my XR1000 on my end, I'd love to fix it. But so far, we have not found a single thing on my end or in my config options. Unless you think there is any other items/ options we may have missed in troubleshooting. I can continue to troubleshoot, but have any of your team been able to see this or recreate this in-house on an XR1000 Router or any XR Series or NetDuma Routers? Fortnite is my primary concern, because that is what I play 99.9% of the time. But I have shown in my replies that other games are not being Geo-Fenced as well.
  15. Fraser, I am starting to feel you do not read and only quickly glance over the posts and responses. Honestly, my AdBlock Plus extension in Chrome has never caused an issue with Geo-Filter EVER in the past, and if it did I would have it disabled. I do not want to have my computers set as a CONSOLE in the Geo-Filter. I run OBS on both computers, and use the OBS plug-in 'ndi-obs' for my game capture, as well as Voicemeeter Potato on both computers for audio. I have tried both device type( CONSOLE and COMPUTER) for all of my testing. They each gave the same exact behavior, in Geo-Filter and Network Monitor. As I stated in my very first post. This FEATURE used to work just fine. I had my computers set as DEVICE TYPE: COMPUTER in the Geo-Filter. Both parts of Fortnite(battle royale & save the world) were seen by the XR1000. Gaming Data & Live Streaming were my top priority in my QoS. The STUFF WORKED! Any servers that were in the Ping Hotmap listed and actively filtered via the XR1000 in the Geo-Fence. Network Monitor saw Fortnite game packets as GAMING DATA. From both of my computers. I noticed it around the Sept. 10th & 11th. On September 7th, Epic pushed out the game patch update v21.51. I know that I am not the only person this is affecting. There is at least one other person on the forum that has the same issues with the same features. I have tested Geo-Filter in there different ways. XR1000 OOB, my original OUT OF BOX install on 1.0.0.64_1.0.4911, I tried your suggestions to the forum user: Xdrqgol. I tried to register on here and create an account so I could add to his post and build on his ticket. Then I tried a factory reset and setup the computers as DEVICE CONSOLE in geo-Filter and I did all my testing, Geo-Filter did not work. Factory reset, and tested as Device COMPUTER, Geo-Filter did not work. Followed your reply to me to try this: re-flash XR100 with image file 1.0.0.64_1.0.49, followed all of your instructions to the T, and tested as and as DEVICE CONSOLE and Device COMPUTER, Geo-Filter did not work for either config.
  16. Xdrqgol did you ever get yours working correctly? I have the same issue with Geo-Fence and the XR1000 not seeing it as gaming data.
  17. I setup Geo-Filter after rebuilding the XR1000 and running some fortnite last night. It still does not work, because the XR1000 DOES NOT SEE Fortnite packets as GAMING DATA. I then tested this today, just for Shi7s&Giggles. I have the Geo-Fence setup in polygon mode, for the Fortnite NA East server farms. I then went into my game settings and manually set my MATCHMAKING REGION in FORTNITE to NA-West. And tried to get in a game ... my GEO_FILTER should have not let me get into a game, I should have been kicked back to lobby if it was working correctly. but alas ... I was able to get into two separate matches on NA-West.(my XR1000 was like, "sure thing Bro, just let me know when you have some game data to help you have the best gaming experience possible. I(the XR1000) am here for you"! ) My network is as follows: (all of my CAT5e cables are tested and certified) I do not use range extenders. My ONT is managed by my ISP there is no end user config. Fiber Optics from my ISP to my ONT(Alcatel G-010G-A). ONT is connected to XR1000 via CAT5e. GAMING & STREAMING PCs are directly connected to the XR1000
  18. Re-Image and setup via the Built in Start Wizard on the router. I then went into QoS verified my bandwidth speeds. I changed both to 1000Mbps, it was only showing it as 100Mbps for UL & 100Mbps for DL. I then set the CONGESTION CONTROL to AUTO-ENABLE, and set the sliders to 65% for my UL and 65% for my DL. I then shaped Bandwidth Allocation as APPLICATION. I set Gaming @ 50 and LiveStream @ 33 on UPLOAD and saved, then did the same for my DOWNLOAD and saved. I then went into Ping Heatmap and FORCED RESYNC CLOUD. I then went back into QoS set the congestion control Auto-Enable to 65% for my UL and 65% for my DL. I then started fortnite on my gaming computer and watched in Network Monitor, no gaming data at all until I was in lobby, it showed Gaming Data for about 15 -20 seconds while it synced with CLOUD and I was waiting for players in the pre- battle bus lobby. No Gaming Data while actually in the game, only waiting for the bus and end of match for either being eliminated or winning. I feel that my XR1000 is still the same as it was prior to the Re-Image & Factory Reset.
  19. I'm just getting back home. I'll get this started now. 1. I'll flash the image file XR1000-V1.0.0.64_1.0.49.zip. 2. allow XR1000 to fully boot and wait 5 minutes. 3. After flashing image and a 5 min wait, I'll do a factory reset via the button. 4. I'll let the XR1000 boot up and give it another 5 minutes to settle and sync. 5. Complete Out of Box setup with the built-in Start Wizard on the XR1000, not the Nighthawk Mobile App. /me crosses fingers

  22. No I don't really play other games. I do have other games to test with. I will test other games tomorrow and will get back to you. Thank you Fraser. For testing I'll try to do some old school quake, ezQuake, Quake Champions, Doom Eternal, and some CoD. I'll see what else I have. Yep, its definitely weird. When I was testing and taking the screen shots earlier today. I dropped into Build Mode - SOLOs so that I could try and see what the router had going on and take screen shots for you guys. When got back into the lobby from the drop in, it looked like the XR1000 did see the DATA SYNC to the cloud for my fortnite settings, and then that small burst was gone and back to unknown data.
