Really? It was brand new out the box
-
I've tried this several times, still the same issue mate
-
Congestion control is on auto mate
-
I'll check tomorrow and get back to you mate
-
Sorry mate, I thought it said steady ping. Yeah I've got the Xbox added in smartboost, I'm connected via ethernet, geofilter on, I can't find congestion control? But the only thing connected to the internet is the Xbox via ethernet cable.
-
Was it fibre to the property though or cabinet? Id assume property if it's new
-
This. I scanned through Reddit last night after you mentioned it, there's a fair few VM engineers / technicians that weighed in on the discussion and it seems to be an issue with their older wiring and systems apparently. Weather I use the VM router or the Netdumer, the ping is the same 26+, probably doesn't sound much, but it's quite high compared to the 16 I was getting
-
I think you're in the same boat as me unfortunately. Nightmare, I'm still in my 14 day cooking off period with virgin but can't get connected with anyone else in the mean time, can't be being without internet this day in ages haha
-
Any idea if there's anyway I can make it any better? It makes FIFA unplayable for me
-
I've tried smartboost, it makes the ping even worse, like 40+. The Xbox is the only thing on the network. I know there's no correlation between ping and internet speed, but I don't know how I've got worse ping when nothing has changed other than service provider
-
Virgin router is in modem mode. I'm wired from the Duma to the Xbox, anything that could be connected via WiFi is switched off. I don't know what you mean by DMZ mode, could you explain
-
Sorry if this isn't the right place.. Just wondering if anyone can help me understand this. I was with BT for the internet on like 70mbs my ping on fc25 was always around 16. I'm now on virgin media gigabit internet, using the netduma R3 and can't get my ping below 26 and the gameplay feels absolutely awful
-
DumaOS says there's an update available, I click update and it just sits on "updating...this could take a few minutes. Please do not reboot or turn off your Router". It would literally just stay on that for as long as I let it. Any ideas?
-
I ordered the R3 last night mate, I couldn't be bothered with the mess on 😂 I'll just wait for that coming
-
Nah, the pc says 'ethernet not connected' I've tried all ports on the R2, there's nothing wrong with the cable, it works fine from the virgin router to the pc
-
Yeah I could connect to the laptop via ethernet. So connect the netduma to do the virgin, then from the netduma to the laptop?
-
I've connected the netdumaR2 to my virgin router via ethernet cable, plugged my Xbox into the netduma.... The only WiFi network that is showing is the virgin media one, trying to connect to 192.178.77.1 doesn't work. I've tried holding reset on the netduma too
-
It's been a while since I've used it, but just on setting it back up and I haven't a clue what I'm doing? I've watched YouTube videos, followed guides etc but can't get it working. I've connected the netduma to my virgin router via ethernet, fired up the netduma, then the next step is that netduma should show as a network to connect to? Any help would be appreciated

Certainly. Its, 67229964bf06898e
-
I certainly can, if you can tell me how mate
-
Yeah it finds a game mate, just doesn't show myself or a server
-
On the ping heat map & when I'm using geofilters there are no UK based servers showing up, is this a Duma issue? I've checked online and from what I can see, the UK Data Centre is still in use. TIA
