Appreciate the updated firmware!
Unfortunately, that didn't remove the ads. I was trying different settings though to still see if I could get rid of them and I made 2 changes at once that worked for about an hour which was re-enabling IPv6 and changing my DNS to CloudFlare 1.1.1.2 primary and 1.0.0.2 Secondary (and put in their respective IPv6 DNS in as well). Unfortunately, the ads magically came back after about an hour without any other further changes, so I don't know what's up with that.
On a side note, with the new firmware I have yet to get Ping Optimizer to successfully run once (always gets the message "DumaOS is unable to complete the Ping Optimizer process due to external circumstances.") in a few days and I only got Speed Test to work 3 times in the past 3 days when trying randomly (besides the 3 rare times it worked it usually always sits at the starting Speed Test pop up and just sits there until you close it).
Regardless of Ping Optimizer and Speed Test not working with the new firmware, the behavior of Adblocker working for about an hour after turning on IPv6 and changing the DNS servers was the same behavior of when I 1st setup the router out of the box, Adblocker worked for about an hour and then somehow stopped working without changing anything which makes no sense to me. It does seem like the ads take a little longer to load though and sometimes 1 out of 4 or 5 ads on the page will stay blocked.
After the ads came back I did repeat the clear browswer cache and open in incognito window again, but the ads were still back.
Reversing my changes, 1st I changed back to my ISP provided DNS and this made no difference with the ads, they were still there after deleting cache and ipconfig /flushdns.
2nd, turning IPv6 back off, deleting browser cache, rebooting computer also did not keep the ads from being blocked even in Incognito window. Note: I've had an assigned DHCP IP lease for the computer and it is on 5G wifi.
So something about turning on IPv6 before and changing the DNS servers got rid of the ads for an hour and I'm thinking it was because it forced a new IPv6 address to the computer vs. the static IPv4 lease assigned in DHCP.
With this in mind I changed the static IPv4 address in the DHCP reservation just to see if an IP change would make a difference since when I 1st installed the router and ads also were blocked for about an hour, it got a new IP address then as well from the one the prior router leased it (this is the main thing I can think of thats in common from the 2 scenarios).
After changing the staic IPv4 DHCP reservation, clearing the browser cache and rebooting the computer to pick up the new IP, here are the results.
Opened the originally posted link on Light.gg in Incognito window and the ads were there and the same without incognito which is leaving me at a loss of my changes made any difference for an hour like when the router was 1st setup on its OEM out of the box firmware. Adblocker in DumaOS does inflate like its showing that it is blocking ads in the router GUI when accessing the webpage and maybe it is blocking something, but not the ads on the webpage.
Lastly before giving up for now I've switched DNS on router IPv4 only and left IPv6 off back to CloudFlare 1.1.1.2 primary and 1.0.0.2 Secondary, changed static DHCP static IP computer reservation again, cleared browser cache on computer and powered it down, rebooted router, and powered computer back on to pick up new IP and DNS. Unfortunately, the ads were still there in Incognito window and normal window on webpage Giving up for now after many hours of testing.
If you have any further suggestions, let me know.
If not, I may revert back to 4.0.5540 so Speed Test and Ping Optimizer work again.
Thanks for looking into this and trying to help!
