Modem is spectrum provided Hitron E31N2V1
spectrum locks out all G.U.I. interfaces on its modems so you cant get in but it passes everything to the router. I have the r3 plugged directly into the ethernet port with no other devices.
also these 2 PC's are the only devices on the network both wired. I have a separate I.S.P. with 5g WIFI system for anything else besides the Pc's that require internet
I always boot up pc1 with 3074 first and pc2 with 3075 second
I was able to achieve both open Nat on the xr1000, the ASUS AX88U, ASUS AC86U so I don't think spectrum modem is the problem..
UPDATE: disabling geo filter and using UPnP I was able to get open on both. strange thing is its forwarding 3074 on both (might cause an issue?) ill try the manual way of 3074 and 3075 with geo off and see if that works.
UPDATE: even with geofilter off one pc 3074>3074 and the other 3075>3075 booted into game in proper order srill the second one receives moderate NAT.
Additional Problem:
The problem i was having last night is i would set the geo in the ocean with ping assist 25 or i would set it over my local server with ping assist at 0 geo latency off, strict on, fast search off, i would be getting servers in Chicago or Miami it would try to connect to and block so in game i get error code unable to join party (3)
when this used to happen with the xr1000 it meant the geo wasn't working right so i would reboot pc and router and it would solve the issue. rebooting everything is not solving the issue, it persist. its like rather that blocking those servers outright it allows them to communicate so the game thinks i can connect and it only blocks them once it try's to connect me to a match on that server.
with the xr1000 if i loaded into the game with geo settings and check the network settings in game it would show 100% packet loss to all servers outside my radius meaning they were blocked. however with the r3 all the servers show connection and it only blocks them as its throwing me into a match which will then error out and searching for a match again will try to put me in the same server again and the cycle repeats. any solutions?
Update Second pic:
so i went ahead and did the old trick of changing the pc to game console. I understand that with the r3 this trick is used to filter non listed games. my game is Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. although it is call of duty its an older one. so i did this trick so i could filter the game manually and upon boot up of the game I see it blocking the servers properly. maybe this can help someone in the future
