  1. thanks, shows as traced. i cant ever get xdefiant servers to stabilise with ping assist. after turning it off the disparity is less than 10ms now. thanks again.
  2. When playing XDefiant the game will report a ping double that my R3 reports. For example today I was on a Paris server accessed from the UK. The Netduma reported a ping of 19ms to the server in Geofilter but the game reported a ping of 40ms. I play on PS5 wired, there is only 1-2ms of latency from the PS5 to the Netduma so this does not explain the additional 20ms. Any ideas?
  3. Hi Fraser, I applied that update but it did seem to make the router less stable. Locked me out a few times and kept hanging. I also started getting packets loss when using Speedtest.net which I’ve not had before. I’ve unplugged the Netduma and back to my ISP router alone now. I’ll wait for the next big update again I think and try again. I would say as an R1, R2, XR500 and now R3 owner this is a familiar pattern. I can’t ever genuinely really recall any prolonged periods of stability. The features are great when they work but very temperamental. I cannot recommend your products to my friends for this reason.
  4. Hi all, Having a few issues with my Netduma. It’s a great router when it’s working but the issues below do take the edge off. 1. Geofilter stops recognising my PS5 each day, device is seen under network devices but not in geofilter, shown as grey offline. MAC address and IP address do not change. 2. When PS5 is recognised under ping it says ‘Stabilising’ and not ‘Stabilised’ quite often. Just seems to get stuck. 3. Network usage just stops working, realtime monitoring works, but can’t see hour/day reports for all devices Rebooting route helps but then a day later seems to start falling apart again. Really don’t want to factory reset as I have lot of devices I’ve named and a pain to have to all over again. Thanks.
  5. Hi Fraser, I’m using firmware version v4.0.219 1. VPN is Cisco AnyConnect which uses these port by default. Cisco AnyConnect VPN typically uses the following network ports: TCP/443 for TLS (Transport Layer Security) UDP/443 for DTLS (Datagram Transport Layer Security) UDP/500 and UDP/4500 for IPSec VPN 2. Think i’ve fixed the naming issue. I’d renamed my wife laptop which did contain a hyphen. I noticed that in network activity both the old and the new name were appearing in the list. I looked up the offline devices in Device Manger and deleted the device there which then also removed it from Network Activity. Thanks, Stu
  6. Hi Fraser, 1. VPN is a Smart Boost category so why does it not report as VPN traffic? 2. I’d just assumed it could still measure the VPN packets, they are shown in the live data view. I cant use my work laptop without the VPN, it’s configured that way. 3. Device Manager shows the new names Thanks, Stu
  7. Hi, Have a new R3 and all working well on the Gaming front. However, I’ve noticed a couple of things with SmartBoost and the Network Activity Monitor: 1. SmartBoost does not categorise the traffic from either my work laptop or my wife’s work laptop, both MS Windows. I use an Enterprise VPN from Cisco and my Wife uses common Google services. , 2. Network Activity reports data use for my work laptop in realtime but my work laptop shows zero data usage in the hourly/daily usage reports. 3. I have renamed some devices in Device Manager but Network Activity displays the original name for some, but not all, devices. Any thoughts? Thanks.
