Once you've set up everything you can backup the configuration so if you do need to reset it then you can always restore it. Try the reserved IPs just in case because they will renew otherwise.

What’s 3k bandwidth how did you reset your router if it doesn’t reset if the rest button does not work. You use a paper clip into that small hole hold for 30 seconds let go wait for the router to boot fully then enter your settings. Also contact @Netduma Fraser He has a beta firmware to help this router. He should see this post now I’ve tagged him. After updating reset but once only it does not need multiple resets.

I don’t think Qos works properly on the xr1000. I say this becuase other features don’t work properly either.

I use congestion control and I check dsl reports also with connection benchmark and it’s the same high upload ping spikes.

Also, the reset button on the back doesn’t work unless I factory reset and it only works the first time then stops working.

QoS is definitely bugged cause I get 3k bandwidth on cod even though no one is using the internet. I have 500/900

    Hey, welcome to the forum!
There isn't an issue with your connection. The problem is that the CoD have now been configured to not respond to any pings. So if you removed the XR and did the same test connected to the ISP modem/router you would see the same thing. We have a workaround to this that allows us to ping it using Ping Heatmap and the Geo-Filter.

Okay that is interesting, I won't be able to confirm this myself but could you try the firmware I have just sent you via PM first, do a factory reset and then if it continues I'll make a ticket for it. The update should definitely help with the interface. As far as I am aware QoS should be working with IPv6, are you not seeing that?

The DOS attacks can definitely be ignored, they just show generic connections that have been made - one was to Microsoft for example. I would hazard to guess the remote login attempt is actually the upstream router. What is the WAN IP shown in System Information?

MU-Mimo has no effect on my ping in a RAX120 it shouldn't on yours also you do need two MU compatible devices to gain the best from it, but leaving the flag on should not cause issues, unless you have enabled wideband 40Mhz on 2.4 and 160 on 5Ghz.

The email is one you set up and it will email you the logs.  I have done this in the past when I worked on Beta firmware for NG so I have regular logs to send on.

Yeah I think that is just an anomaly for the upload on the XR so don't worry about that, you can ignore it.

Sorry I meant the XR builds in general but I think this should be sorted by the next version. In any case, there is no need to worry as the ping won't be that high in reality.

It did it for me on the R2 as well until I started tweaking it, then stayed relatively flat. Not so on the XR1000 after tweaking it. And apparently the 500 too

    Hey, welcome to the forum!
In my personal opinion I would recommend going with the XR1000 for several reasons:
It has the latest DumaOS available from the get go AX WiFi so you're more future proofed The XR700 is no longer being made - once existing stock is sold it will no longer be available to purchase - with this in mind if there are any issues requiring a replacement then would be easier with the XR1000 (I assume) XR700 will get DumaOS 3.0 but I don't have a date for that currently and will be in beta for awhile most likely before a stable public version is available

@Netduma Fraser so I did was what suggested and updated the firmware and did a factory reset, so far it's either made the connection worse, or the benchmark isn't working. I couldn't get a different result anywhere from 100% to 20% on the sliders, and yes I'm using "always" on congestion control. This is with no other devices connected except my PC. I haven't even configured anything else yet.

The interface is much more responsive after the update + reset. The timeouts I had from update only have disapeared.
I did find that EDGE was a bit better than Chrome after the reset in terms of responding.

All routers even enterprise router like Cisco may require a reset and Cisco advise that if needed. Domestic routers tend to need them more as low level code is held in the NVram so a reset clears that code out. It’s also best not to load a saved profile which can contain code that’s not matched up with the new firmware.
You will find those that Beta test routers with NG for example do resets as standard practise, Merlin did an article on Smallnetbuilders where he explains the need for a reset and he codes for Asus.
NG support will normally ask you to do one too as it’s fairly standard practise and gives you a level playing field to Start fault finding.
so a security update may not require a reset but drivers and other packets of code may need one and I always reset my router after updates which is why I prefer the more standard type router.

unfortunately with gaming routers they tend to be more complex in their software so more options and settings which I fully understand can be a pain to set up where as I simply have a few options to take care of so a reset takes around 15min. The important part is to make sure you have notes on your settings so you can set up again in a timely and organised fashion.

I've done full factory resets multiple times.  In fact this has been the only way to get certain devices to connect to it.
My xbox series xs (less than 15 feet away) was only getting 22 mbps connection.
The router interface page was slow and also timing out (connected via ethernet..).
There's no logs of disconnects just a few DDOS and Syn attacks.
I've had QOS enabled and disabled.

    I've just tried a newer version (.47_1x)
The Xbox Series X is now connecting at 218.16 Mbps previously 22 Mbps.
The main page is extremely responsive. (I was getting time outs and errors just trying to load between the pages).
The new QOS auto and bandwidth checker works just fine.
I'm no longer getting micro disconnects.

@Judge_Ty Hey, welcome to the forum!
Sorry to hear about your experience. I have sent you a PM with a new firmware to try. Please upgrade to it and then factory reset. Make sure you change your WiFi settings back. Then let us know if your issues continue. One of the graphs is for packet acceleration so you will not see this move much.
Okay totally understand, if you have any issues again upgrade, reset and then if it continues let me know.

I'm having quite a bit of issues with my XR1000.   I'm getting microdisconnects.  I'm hardwired with ethernet issues still happen.  I have an Xbox series XS, it also gets micro disconnects.

The router admin is extremely slow.   Connection Benchmarks will time out, RAPP errors pop up.
Example of an issue:  QOS - > Auto detect bandwidth speeds, app times out results in QOS speeds of 100mb UP and DOWN.
I have gigabyte connection 900UP 800Down.  Due to it erroring out, QOS capped it to just 70mb up and down.. instead of like 600MB and 385MB,

Getting DCs on All xboxes in the house, Connection speed on xboxes is pretty terrible (15 feet away wireless XB series SX).
Various devices will be blocked from seeing various network 2.4 or 5.0. I have a chromecast that will never be allowed to connect. Refuses to allow connections on setting up other wifi per device unless I restart the router.
The Device Manager will show offline devices online and vice versa as well..
Coming from a r7000 with fresh tomato, this is a bit disappointing.

The default settings were trash for wifi 6 btw.  I was getting less connection speed than my r7000 till I had to change the channel and other settings. Extremely unoptimized at default.

    Question:
On version 1.0.0.44_1.0.33  is this the latest?
And does CPU2 (gold cpu graph) never get used?  Red and blue hover between 20-50% usage, where as gold (CPU2) stays at 0%.
