Just spoke with AT&T and he changed my MTU to 1472 instead of 1500 on the AT&T modem. The issue is still the same. He didn't tell me he did this I just checked all the settings after he told me he did some configure changes. Going to have a Tech come out and do some testing. it's pointless for these guys over the phone to do some basic test that I can do myself. I ran some MTU test in CMD in windows at 1472 and 1500 and it's saying "Packets needs to be fragmented but DF set. (100% loss) if I run it at 1444 MTU I get (0% Loss) anything higher starts to give me loss.

I did a full reset on the XR1000 and just changed the wifi name and password. issue is gone now. I always have my kids friends using the wifi so tons of devices always on and off the network.

the madness starts again. I tested the modem by itself and having the same issue. I guess my next step is to call at&t and have a tech check my lines and modem. XR1000 is not the issue. I noticed in the Logs under monitoring I'm getting flooded with [WLAN access rejected: incorrect security] from MAC this happens every 40 seconds to 1 minute in the log also I noticed when I did a reset on the XR1000 it's listing the default mac address with a 15 instead of a 14 at the end of the MAC address. Should I just use the correct one that's listed on the back of the router or is that normal and just leave it at 15?

When I set up IP Passthrough on my AT&T modem should I use the ethernet adapter physical address? When I type ipconfig/all on command prompt I see a different physical address listed then the one in IP passthrough. I just did a Manual entry instead of choosing the router in the device list and used my computers physical address and also changed it in DUMAOS interface under internet setup. I selected "use computer MAC address" but it doesn't really matter now because I changed it under IP passthrough so it's showing on all 3 choices under "Router MAC address" with the new MAC address I updated on the AT&T interface under IP passthrough Right now at this time everything seems to be running smooth. I will keep pingplotter running and see if the issue starts up again later today Just wanna make sure this is not a user issue before I have a tech come out and check the lines and modem for issues. Thanks

still having the same issue. I really think the issue is my router can't handle this 1gbps fiber connection, I've been having issues in gaming with random ping spikes since I switched to fiber Also been noticing [WLAN access rejected: incorrect security] showing up a lot in the router logs and invalid ip packet in the modem logs

Over the last few weeks I've been noticing high ping spikes on pingplotter. I've never seen spikes like this before in the last 2 years. It's always a stable 13ms. I get little spikes of like 10-15ms sometimes but nothing like this before. Any answers on a solution to fix the issue? I haven't changed any settings. also my speed test on at&t is showing high latency which I've never seen since I switched to fiber. It's always a stable 11ms every time I run a test.

Last two days I've noticed only one server in CA. Most of the time they have 3 servers in CA and one in OR. Is this a "Ping heatmap" issue or servers down?

Issue with connecting to 2.5Ghz wifi
Kwee replied to Kwee's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Still having the same issue even when I change that option. All my devices only connect to the 5GHz channel. My phone is the only one that will connect to 2.5GHz -
Will this cause issues if I'm running both of these? I noticed with dumaOS classified games it won't pick up warzone. So I just added my own for my PC and used target games console and it works every time I play now. My son plays fortnite so I enabled Classified for him so he gets traffic prioritization as well. Would it be better to just add his PS4 and use fortnite as the target instead of dumaOS classified?

Issue with connecting to 2.5Ghz wifi

Both 2.5 and 5GHz networks have the same security options. WPA2-Personal AES what should I change 2.5GHz too? -
Issue with connecting to 2.5Ghz wifi
Kwee replied to Kwee's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
they show up on DumaOS but they don't connect to the internet when I select 2.5ghz channel on the device I'm trying to connect. 5ghz channel has no issue connecting any device. It's telling me "unable to join the network" when I select it on the ipad and laptop -
Sometimes I can't connect my kids laptops and Ipads to the 2.5Ghz wifi but the 5Ghz connects with no problem Anyway to fix this?

I'm still getting the packet burst and now latency variation issues in warzone. I disabled QoS and have been enjoying a great connection until today. Should I enable QoS again and maybe Adjust the sliders from 70/70 and see if this helps the issue?

My kids play Fortnite, If I have dumaos classified games enabled will that cause any conflict when were both gaming? I'm pretty sure it will prioritization fortnite and warzone at the same time since they are on the same network. I'm plugged in with ethernet and they use WIFI for gaming

I’m setting up Geo filter right now. Doing the method you provided for geo filter settings on PC. Should I just enable dumaOS classified games instead of picking games console and picking my PC as the device? I play Warzone/call of duty and CSGO and I’m sure dumaos classifed would cover both those games?

Ya this is on PC

I'm on PC and I have Traffic Prioritization on Games console. It's detecting plenty packets and my NAT type is Open. Why don't they have a option for call of duty or warzone under Traffic Prioritization? Every game is listed but those two.

I noticed it was kind of skipping me around at times but most of the time I don't notice any issues when it pops up. my QoS is at 70% on both sliders and set to auto I'm on fiber internet with at&t 1gbps up and down I found some videos online and people noted the internet provider was causing the issue and when they switched providers the issue was gone. I hope that's not my case because I don't wanna switch back to cable internet since the upload speeds are still so much slower then fiber.

I keep getting random packet burst symbols in warzone. It's not all the time just every once in awhile during a match. anyone else experiencing this issue and know a solution to fix it? I don't get this in any other game but Warzone
