Try enabling HT160 under Settings>Advanced Wireless, if a wired connection is not available.

Avoid the 2.4ghz band if at all possible, as it is laden with latency.

    @NetdumaFraser

I note I know absolutely nothing about netduma's anti-bufferbloat solution, although I am under the impression it uses fq_codel, at least in part. (?) Is how it works documented? Is it derived from the sqm-scripts?

I did want to call your community's attention to the latest effort of the bufferbloat project, "sch_cake", which solves a few problems, like per-host fq,
ack-filtering, docsis framing and so on. A paper describing some of its features is here: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1804.07617.pdf

We describe in more detail what it solves here: https://www.bufferbloat.net/projects/codel/wiki/CakeTechnical/

It is available as a backport to many linux versions and was just accepted into linux net-next which means it will be part of linux 4.19.

On the way to getting it mainlined (and underdocumented at present) are means to keep you dpi working even more sanely than it presently does.

I doubt your offloaded nat system can be made to work for per-host fair queuing implementation (which we think is the bomb), but what do I know?

    Happy debloating!

Sorry for the late response guys. I wiped the XR500 clean to it's factory fw and re-installed the latest 2.3.2.22. That seemed to work once I booted up a game of WW2.

Every firmware update from now on I'll just wipe the XR500 clean to prevent any conflicting boot errors in the config.

If you hate your Dashboard cluttered with excessive R-Apps & just want to keep ping tabs on your favorite dedicated servers while gaming, try this...

•Select Geo-Filter - Scroll down to Allow & Deny list.
    •Ping Dedicated/Favorite Servers you've whitelisted.
•Select Pin in adjacent Ping box.
    •Return to Dashboard.

    Tadaaah!

Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with Netgear's XR500 router. (R7800 with a bit more flash RAM with DumaOS GUI equipped)

Yet as a man who enjoys his pasttime playing FPS console games outside of his career... What can WE the consumers expect from the next update? Will Duma's FW be seamless and

Can we reach a mutual agreement on disabling DPI?

The main reason I purchased this Netgear router with DumaOS GUI was for the Geo-Filter functionality. Now everything seems like a marketing gimmick.

What would you like to see as a "gamechanger" for the next update? Please respond below.

The last value that doesn't need fragmented is your answer.

vShikko got a reaction from simjc in Give us the option to perma ban servers in Duma OS
I second this. I have an avg 14-15ms ping to the dedi server in Miami. Problem is the majority of people in my lobbies are pinging offshore in the Caribbean with almost 40ms^ response times! I dread those lobbies because I notice rubberbanding and TTL numbers skyrocket.

So I move my geo-filter upto GA widen my radius to 500 mi, apply strict mode, and everything plays fine...

    It's that god-forsaken Miami server!

I'm running the Nighthawk XR500 directly to my docsis 3.1 modem, B.D.

I forwarded ports 3074 UDP/TCP and that made no difference with fixing party chat, so I turned UPnP on to take care of the Open NAT for now instead.

I still have to apply the hotfix patch sent to me this morning from the Duma Admin. I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks again!
