My experience with the bufferbloat is totally different. I’m consistently get A and A+s with very little time spent. It’s as close as plug and play as it gets. I’ve maybe spent 10 minutes adjusting and it’s been pretty flawless.

Awesome mate! Yeah I think if you have auto-upgrade it should do it. I'm not sure how often it checks though, it is either once a day or once a week. So very definitely worth checking your on the latest and if not manually upgrading

I’m at work right now but if it didn’t auto update, I’ll manually do it when I get home. I’m loving how easy you all have made it to optimize.

I received my Netgear XR500 yesterday and would just like to say, it was so easy to setup. I didn’t have to mess with a bunch of settings to get it up and running. They have made it so much more user friendly. The DumaOS is amazing. I played Call of Dury WW2 with no ping spikes. Some of the smoothest I’ve played. Awesome job to the Netduma team, you all have hit a homerun.

So are these the same features we have now, only difference is the way it’s laid out? I don’t see anything different then what is offered now. Also is this one self sustained or do I need to spend hours on the forum to get it to work?

Is this one still going to require me to mess around with settings all the time to make it work? Need to know before I order.

Couldn't wait ten minutes for a answer, so I ordered it. I'll find out Thursday.

and you are exactly why i think this company is unprofessional.. because it let people like you think a commercial product support forum allows you to have this kind of answer to a PAYING CUSTOMER. this is unseen anywhere else.

If this how you moderate, then maybe you shouldn't be one.  You are suppose to deescalate the situation and not make it worse.

I agree with the idea that if your a moderator, you should definitely be more polite. Does the saying go "kill them with kindness"? Being drunk is no excuse if you can't handle your alcohol then don't drink it or lose your privilege to moderate. I do understand people in here can be hostile but adding more to the fire with more negativity to the already negative does not make for a great reputation. I do not understand what these bugs are that everyone has issues with and I am just a regular user just like everyone else lol. The only issues I ever see is user setup error or just a plain old bad ISP. Sure the netduma can be slow from time to time but nothing substantial.

Hahaha I suppose. I just meant that it's something we've already seen for the most part. I realize it is in fact more complete. However it would of been neater to see other menus within the duma OS. You feel?

Not to sound pessimistic. But isn't this screenshot very similar to the one we already saw at the beginning of this post or the other one which revealed the first sneak peek?

Iain here with a long-awaited news update:

First of all we realise there has been a lot heated discussion in this thread about when DumaOS should / will be ready. It's great to see so many of you are passionate and excited. For the handful of users who are feeling impatient please be assured we are working as hard and as fast as we can to get a version ready for you. We are very confident you will love the results once the upgrade is available. However, transitioning from a small number of testers to tens of thousands of open beta testers is a huge leap so we are doing everything we can to optimise the OS before we do this.

If we rush out a version that is not sufficiently tested then we run the risk of doing more harm than good. You, as a tester, will have to wait on us to fix issues while your gaming suffers. And as developers it puts us under a lot of pressure that is not conducive to creating great router software.

So when will the Open Beta begin? Well the closed beta is already underway and it is going well so far - the feedback has been very positive and thanks to our testers we have resolved a bunch of issues meaning we're getting close to a fully stable version. Once we reach that point we will expand the testing to more of our closed beta testers. This means we are confident we will have an upgrade for you in the near future and we are even more confident that you guys will love DumaOS, but ONLY WHEN IT'S READY!

Thank you for all your support, patience and enthusiasm. And to tie you over, attached is a new screenshot from the UI (left click to expand). This is the 'Dashboard' feature, which allows you to pin your favourite features onto one single screen. This creates one master page from which you can control DumaOS. Have fun speculating what each feature is for!

    Thanks,

    Iain & The Netduma Team
