settings for dmz, Spanning Tree Protocol, mac address cloning , etc are there now...that i'm absolutely sure were never there for me to adjust prior, whether it was older or newer version.
my bad.. had it in the 1 slot instead of the 2.
interesting kickback, since it was probably the first time I logged into the router without the modem inbetween. new options in 'network settings' that werent there before. as if my router was cloned to the factory version the whole time. fatal microsoft edge error occurred as well at the same time. this was still when disconnected. who cares, never use that crap anyway.
thx
I uninstalled the nordvpn so that's not an issue anymore.
using the 192.168. number without internet modem in between ..it'll just say "can't connect'. ..but will connect if the modem is between.
this was before doing that as well. same issue for years. how would u recommend trying it to work without the modem in between?
i currently have just the router cable from the router to the pc.
how come we always need to be connected to the internet just to modify router settings ? older routers 30 years ago never needed this.
tried out fully installing the windows version of Nordvpn today and it screwed up trying to login to netduma router for hours on end, until I switched to another router and then switched back. usually I just install the udp files seperately into router, but today felt like screwing around with the full setup file of nordvpn.
so thats when I tried connecting just the netduma router to the pc to modify settings...(with no internet) and it wouldn't allow me.
