In theory minimizing hops is better in general, but it can be worsen sometimes ex. taking less hops but with bad performance hops can really be worse.

Additionally to the test above, 6ms isn't it too minimal difference? that those margins are not stable and servers sometimes have a margin of (10+,10-) of latency.

What I am trying to say is if you do another multiple tests, you might find ISP SKY gets 87ms and NordVPN getting 101ms and vice versa.

PS: at least that's what I think, and I could be wrong.

I said back in 2018 when the R1 Beta was launched that Netduma needs to communicate with the community to avoid impatience and general frustration. I feel both Netduma and Netgear needed to send out an email immediately after a potential beta tester registered to indicate in which wave(group) they are and which estimated date their waves download links will be sent out unless there's some major issue. This kinda leads me into my second point that if they wanted to alpha test the software with a limited control group they should have done so without notifying the community that there's a beta (you don't dangle a bag of candy asking the class who wants some and then just share with your friends).

I am not one of the stuff, but pretty much any beta has the same risk of anything happening, and beta users reporting issues to be addressed  in next rollout of fixes.... if I’m wrong I will be glad to be corrected

Thanks for checking out, but I just double checked and this time I was able to register again, and made sure I was in the right site through netgearinnovation.com. and this time I used a gmail account instead of my main email account.

I have registered for XR500 only as I'm currently not using the Netduma R1.

Again thank you so much for checking out and I totally appreciate that.

I was pretty sure we were sending out email confirmations? Maybe that didn't work out.
Let me see... I can't see you on the list @LegendMask, remember that the Netduma R1 and XR500 signups are separate so i'd recommend signing up to both if you have both routers!

I am not complaining or being impatient just wanted to make sure it was registered because usually in similar cases you get an email confirming registration

As above, you're good. You signed up early so well done. Just keep an eye on emails to see if you're selected. They'll be open for a little while before anyone is selected.

It’s now a waiting game for you. Just relax and wait, at some point if you read their blog everyone will get a chance but they are keeping it for a small number to start with as it would be a tad crazy if say 100 beta testers went for it at the same time.

Yep i agree, the servers are the worst I've ever experienced in COD, and there are constant server issues. It's a shame they dont take it seriously and sort them out but I suppose this suits them fine as it doesnt affect sales etc, plus it keeps the noobs engaged and buying COD points which is ultimately what they want. The worst part is that come November the next game will likely be the same with poor netcode/strong SBMM, in which case I'll more than likely throw in the towel.

There is an issue with bell and xr500 with the current firmware and it is that upnp does not work, i suggest using portforward until next xr500 firmware.

Being in the DMZ means it is working well but as it stands it can't control all devices so it isn't being used to its full potential. It really depends on your household and how much bandwidth you use but it is still possible to get local congestion, traffic prio would be the more useful feature I would have thought for your connection. You couldn't use the QoS on the R1 because only one device is connected to it so it can't control the network properly, also I would have assumed you'd want it running at full speed which can't be done with QoS enabled but as you mention you're not you still won't benefit from it properly due to the first reason.

Bell employees will tell you its the only homehub that has a bridge mode and is more like a modem. But after using it i find that all the mode does is fully disable the homehub so that any router you attach to it wont have pppoe issues.

LegendMask reacted to Aspect of Wrath in Defeat MW Lag Compensation!
I suggest switching to homehub 1000 and yes you are correct everything has to be connected to the netduma because the hh3000 will not have internet anymore. Everything has to be connected to netduma anyways or else qos/anti bufferbloat will not work properly and you will lag.

Bullshit, skill is long ago gone in COD. COD is very connection depending. If someones server sync is better than yours, no matter what you'll lose the gunfights all day long.

Oh my god I’m dumb... I’m still used to the old interface, I think it used to be shown above the graph the whole time rather than clicking on something to show up... hahaha

The Bandwidth Allocation needs at least three devices to draw the shape you are familiar with. So if you connect a third device it should then appear as you expect.
Also - the Share Excess option is still there even in your current view. Just click the three horizontal line icon in the top left of the panel to access it.
