infernomachine reacted to KyleBruce54 in Black Ops 4 - Getting P2P Only? Post Here!
Just signed up to report this issue so glad to see it's already raised, however, this has not been an issue only since the latest patch for me, but since the very day I upgraded to DumaOS from original firmare with the R1.
Only way I can find a game that is not P2P is to disable the filtering mode completely and go into spectator mode. Thanks to the above posters for pointing out how to downgrade as currently looking into this myself.
As other have said;
Game mode does not matter.

That was the point of my original post, the router should not be impacting my games in any way with the geo-filter off - but it is! Indicating a problem with the DumaOS!
I have proved that it is not a game issue by testing with R1 downgraded to original firmware and testing without R1, in both cases I always get a dedicated server game, I never get P2P games.
When I connect my xbox directly to my internet router or I downgrade the R1 to the original firmware I get dedicated server hosted games every time (I never get P2P games), as soon as I connect via the R1 with DumaOS I only get P2P games, even with all geo-filtering and qos disabled. I have tested many times with these configurations and the result is always the same.
The fact that there is still a problem when geo-filtering and qos is disabled indicates that something in the DumaOS not related to filtering is disrupting BO4 server network traffic. Without any geo-filtering or qos enabled the R1 switch should just pass all network packets without disruption - this does not seem to be the case which indicates a problem in DumaOS.

listen i know you guys are working hard but the game just plays flawlessly with original r1 firmware. (good call on the rollback) It has to be something with the new duma os. the cloud is the same across both correct?
infernomachine got a reaction from David824 in downgraded back to R1 firmware
I rolled back again even after the v2... ping is anywhere from 50-100 on v2 with the worst hit detection I’ve ever experienced. On that same server on the original firmware I get 18-24 with better hit detection....has the cloud been updated in v2 yet or is that a bigger work in process?
infernomachine got a reaction from JOE1305 in R1 DumaOS Briefly Delayed
problem they may run into is they can delay a release forever and not have to face a class action lawsuit. If they come out and just say its not coming then they potentially have a problem with consumers that purchased the r1 with the advertisement of duma os coming to r1...yikes

Very good spot. We thought it was only right to dedicate it to our fallen friend. He out of everyone was one of the most excited about DumaOS and unfortunately he passed before seeing it come to fruition, this way he's a part of it and lives on.

I noticed this when I was researching the NG XR500, thought it was kind of cool to see! You will have to translate the page to English though.
DumaOS Code Name A7Legit
Firmware Version V184.108.40.206

And again no response back from the devs ...
Let me ask a stupid questions ??
1. what about the loyal costumers that was early adorers since first month ????
will they get any discount code for the new router ????
2. what will be the main differences on software for R1 and netgear ??
3. Does it worth to spend 300usd for a router the basically dont works on game like COD WWII ?? like the previous software, if the game dont have P2P gaming what the new rooter suppose to do, in order to worth 300usd ???
4. I really can say that i was one of the early adopters that am disappointing of the existing software, as if you was not close to servers, you was lagging like shit .. so whats the point of upgrade ???
and last think
duma for all lies for the last 1,5 year
you could announce the partnership and protect your costumers that bought a crab router the time who can buy a netgear !!!
infernomachine reacted to RL317 in WW2 strict mode
Hey Fraser, not sure if you've noticed/heard of this before, but at times when I load up WW2 and connect to online services (where you briefly ping all servers) I see padlocks slightly off to the side of most EU servers. When I click on one it'll show the update button and a totally random latency value like 105ms for the one next to the UK server. Then at times several servers won't show up at all (even after checking dormant hosts), but they'll appear if I search for a game. Conversely I can find all servers when signing in but never find a game on one and it'll give me a player host at times lol. This was in the first few weeks though - I uninstalled WW2 about a week ago because connections in game even on local servers were miserable - so I don't know if that's still the case.
Any ideas what's going on there? I made sure to reflush the cloud, and even rebooted both the PS4 and Duma, but this would show up randomly.
