ViciousSavag3 reacted to bbursley in Are these lagspikes?
That spike you see, though being pretty intense is not something that is effecting your game play, as you can clearly see it comes and goes. Now one thing that may be considered is the idea of a low ping in a highly lag compensated game. By forcing a "GREAT" connection you are essentially suffering from the games net code working against you. As i've explained before, certain games try to balance out connections and place them on fair ground, when you geofilter in some games, your'e essentially rebelling against what the game is trying to do, end result being more negative than positive. Some games are able to match players fairly without needing the netduma, then again some games can't. Thats why geofilter is more of a tool than a end all solution. My suggestion is to try it with geo off, or perhaps another dedicated server somewhere else, or widen your radius alot more. I commented a few days back about this issue. In a game like BO3 where best connections win usually, getting a dedi is a huge importance, but in a game like ghosts where the game matches you with the best possible type of connection usually it can sometimes hinder your experience because youre blocking out people who might be a best option. In that case It was better for me to widen up the radius so I still get a USA host but not necessarially the "best host" in that radius. If that host is already a really good player in a host advantage game then all im gonna do is get melted in every gunfight. point being, sometimes geo helps and sometimes it hurts, but you have to figure out what it is that works best for you. If I remember correctly that bo4 servers raised the tick rate, this means that connections that were solid suffered more because the otherwise laggier players benefit from increased level of communication between client and server, meaning a bad connection could now smash you where as before ping was absolutely king, and a stable line/low ping was more advantageous. I know that when they bumped the tick rate up I had way more issues killing people than before.

Could be that the error is happening because you're on a tablet browser - it's just less thoroughly tested. We're building an app at the minute so you'll have something way better to use on tablets soon enough
My recommendation would just be to unpin everything, then load the dashboard. Do you get the error? Pin the r-apps you want one by one, and keep going back to the Dashboard. Eventually you might come across the one that's having an error and we can go from there!

ViciousSavag3 reacted to Netduma Luke in DumaOS on the Netduma R1 is now in Open Beta!
We are delighted to announce that DumaOS on the Netduma R1 has now moved to Open Beta! If you would like to take part, please complete this form: DumaOS for R1 Sign Up
Open Beta means the firmware is available to anyone who wants it, but to stay ahead of any potential issues, we will be rolling DumaOS out in stages on a first come, first serve basis.
The first 50 people who submit the form will receive an email with a link to the firmware. Once we know everything is looking good for this initial set, we will email the next set, gradually increasing the number of users each time until the full rollout is complete.
EDIT: The staged roll out is now complete. Thank you for your patience. If you have signed up but did not receive the email with the download link then please CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM (if using Gmail, also check your 'Promotions' tab. In the rare event your email program has completely blocked our email, please either sign up again using a different email address, or post here to let us know. If you have not signed up yet, please do so here:  DumaOS for R1 Sign Up
Reaching this point is a big step in the roadmap of DumaOS. We have some awesome features that we are already developing. These will be released in a series of ‘Milestones’ – we will be announcing more on this soon.
Many thanks to all our closed Beta Testers who have been absolutely amazing at getting us to this point. We couldn’t have done it without you guys.
Finally, a big thank you to all of you, the Duma Army, for your support and patience. We appreciate this was a long development road, far longer than we expected, but we never lost our resolve to bring DumaOS to you. We hope you love it.
    Thanks
    The Netduma Team

ViciousSavag3 reacted to Netduma Luke in Announcement: DumaOS on Netduma R1 in Final Beta Testing
We have some good news to share: DumaOS for the Netduma R1 is now in the final stages of beta testing!
As many of you know, this has taken so much longer than we anticipated, but our developers have now resolved all the major issues. This means that DumaOS for the R1 is stable and crucially, backwards compatible, so you can go back to the original R1 firmware if you prefer. A big thank you to all the beta testers who worked tirelessly with us to get to this point.
We are tidying up some last loose ends to make it ready for full release. We will let you know it is ready to download across all our media platforms. Be sure to sign up to the DumaOS mailing list so you are the first to know when it's out.
    Stay tuned!

Haha that's awesome to hear, I'm glad you're melting them. If you're ever interested we've got a 'Gameplay and Videos' section here on the forum, I reckon a video of you destroying people would go down well xD

As always let us know if you have any issues, but it doesn't sound like you'll have any for quite some time!

So what speeds are you getting through the R1? I don't think the hardware will be able to handle max speeds in your case, though hopefully you've got more than enough to game with. In my opinion you should only throttle if you think it'll help you - if you're getting ping spikes / jitter originating upstream (with your modem / equipment) then you might not be able to solve that through throttling. What're the results of an Internet Diagnostics test, and what is your ping to the game?

We're very much looking forward to giving you DumaOS soon! As always we'll let everyone know on the news section here or on our social media channels
