I'm wanting to block internet access overnight for all my kid's devices.

Works fine and as expected for all devices except my son's Google Home. Even if blocked, I've just discovered that he can still use it to watch YouTube videos etc!

Any idea why this particular device is still able to access the internet even when blocked and also how to fix this apparent glitch?

Hi guys. Long time reader, first time poster.

I have both the Technicolor and Arcadyan versions of the Telstra Gen 2. As I understand it they both run NetDuma under the hood, although the UI is very different between them.

I also run a Western Digital MyCloud (OS5) via wired Ethernet.

On the Arcadyan version there seems to be some fundamental conflict, in which the SMB server MyCloud is only fleetingly visible to other clients on the network. It's unusable. I've tweaked every setting on the MyCloud, including getting it to communicate by SMB1, 2, 3 and combinations of those. It seems like the standard "Workgroup" set up by the router is buggy or intermittent?

For what it's worth, I also own an Optus Ultra Wifi Gen 2 (also an Arcadyan product) and the problem also crops up on that one. But the Technicolor Telstra Gen 2 (DJA0231) has no issues at all.

Can anyone shed light on this?

As asked here https://forum.netduma.com/topic/53546-fixed-cpu-usage-spike-issue-coming-next-week/#comment-395251 I have started this topic because I too have experienced similar issues with what feels like latency spikes/Stuttering in online games, while using internet optimiser on the Telstra smart modem Gen 3.

My Smart Modem Gen 3 is (Was) running.

	DumaOS Version 3.3.157

Now among other issues as posted on other threads by me, there seems to be something causing this version of DumaOS to not run well at the moment.

I can now confirm that I do not see CPU usage spikes that reach 100% like in the thread linked above. I experience these spikes while playing MW3 and I do see CPU usage getting readings of 60% but that seems normal when underload.

After testing over many days resetting modem, resetting DumaOS, factory resets nothing seemed to fix it, I know it's not MW3 server side as my children experience this also on fortnite and other online games.

What I have discovered is, that when I disabled internet optimizer my issues with latency spikes went away, I have no issues and it feels all smooth again.

I have FTTP 250/22 connection, with DumaOS activated, I get latency spikes 2 - 3 times per online match. with it deactivated I get no spikes.

Not sure what's causing this and other issues plaguing this version of DumaOS on Telstra modems atm, but it's enough for me to stop using it until a new version is released.

I was wondering what the difference between the Telstra Internet Optimiser and the Telstra Game Optimiser is please?

They look almost identical to me, but Internet optimiser is free and Game optimiser costs $10/month, so there must be some differences?

	DomaOS version

	3.3.688

My modem test gets great under load upload and download ping tests but when i do a buffer bloat test from mc pc the download is good but upload is bad over 100. I tried a direct connection to my nbn modem and i dont get the high upload and get a A+ score but thru the modem not matter what i do to internet optimiser it stays above 100ms. I have played with upload and downlaod sliders from 70% up and down. Set my computer to a computer a playstation a game console. Added pc to priority traffic with all ports and set to default. On the odd occasion i think i get it and i get a A with very low upload latency but then i run the buffer test again and boom back to 100+ms. Again remove modem go direct to nbn modem and low upload latency ping. Not sure why the modem can test under 25ms down and up or its benchmark test but my pc cant get good upload ping.

Since early February my Gen 2 Telstra modem has been resetting many times a day ( 20 -30 ), Telstra Tech support ran the same tests every time i rang. They said it was NBN fault. That was impossible because i had unplugged all cables and was using the sim card backup. Tech support has now arranged a replacement modem.

Decided to try my own basic test starting with disabling DumaOs, lo and behold modem online 12 hours with no reset. DumaOs is working okay on chrome.

Apologies in advance if this one has already been covered and addressed.

I have recently started to have issues logging into the Telstra Internet Optimiser. I'm getting a message saying Please wait until Telstra Optimiser has fully loaded . I have used this optimiser successfully for many years. Followed previous suggestions of deactivating, rebooting then reactivating but no luck. Contacted Telstra who updated by Firmware but this just changed the message on the screen - previously it was "DumaOS not fully loaded!". Something has changed just not sure what.

	Any ideas?

Hi guys, quick query... if I factory reset a Telstra Gen 3, will it still have DumaOS on it (already part of installed firmware package) or will it need to be reenaabled? Thanks!

After activating optimiser, Duma OS stuck at loading. See attached.

Tried below. But did not work.

	1. Waited a few hours to load.

2 Reboot modem soft way (advanced, management, restart)

	3. Reboot modem hard way (unplug power and plug in)

	4. Telstra smart troubleshoot (say modem firmware needs update, but Telstra tech said it is the latest. Firmware Number 0.18.15r. Gateway Make Model Arcadyan LH1000)

	5. Reactivate Internet Optimiser

Telstra tech said nothing they can do and ask me to post here, any one can help?

	Thank you

Over the last month or two, there has been a strange CPU usage issue occurring. I have found that roughly every 2 weeks my Gen 3 - Firmware Version 21.4.0500 running DumaOS Version 3.3.688 has to be rebooted. Reason being both CPU0 & CPU1 are both hitting 95%-100% constantly at the same time causing issues while gaming.

After rebooting, same devices are running, and CPU's go back to normal running around 20 - 40%

I have not been able to pinpoint a device causing this, nor have I been able to get any screenshots of this yet (But will get some next time it happens)

Any suggestions regarding testing or solutions would be appreciated.

	Hi,

I have both models of the Telstra Smart Modem 2 but have since left Telstra.

	I have 2 questions:

	1. What’s the latest version that can be installed on either of the SM2? I’m not sure what DumaOS is used for their “Game Optimiser” service.

	2. Is there any way that I can install / enable this myself now that I’m not on Telstra?

	thanks
