mxHOLGE Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Hi While searching for games there's a couple of "dormant hosts" inte the geo-filter. If i wait more than 3-4 minutes for a game i don't want to wait anymore when i see there's a small chance to join. So i expand the geo-filtar all the way to from my location (sweden) to UK,GER,NED there's always plenty of hosts and i'm able to join instantly. After 30 minutes there can be maybe at least 10 dormant hosts i Sweden and not able to join. I wonder why there's always easy to join in UK and not so often in scandinavia. Sweden, Norway and denmark is twice as big than UK so there should be more odds to find a game right? Or maybe not i don'w know @Iain have been looking into this once i think and thats great. Is there something more to do? Do i have to play more than i do so it stores some sort of important data to the cload? Location: Sweden Game: COD:AW XBOX. Trying to explain but it could be confusing i guess... The router is awesome but when i read that other customers often play with low ping 15-20 im jealous 1 of 10 game i find them i Sweden with a ping maybe 30-45. Buds Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 I think your issue will be you are connecting to dedicated servers primarily in COD:AW and none of those are located in Sweden. Once the firmware update rolls out, which I believe may then show which dedicated servers you are connecting to, it should become much clearer. But from everything I have read, and I don't play COD:AW. it does seem the dedicated servers are the games preferred option. So if your available hosts in immediate local area are being pulled into the servers you will have no option but to also matchmake with the servers due to population issues. The game always try to put you into a dedicated server and sometimes if it can't it will search for a P2P host (a user). I live in Spain and in my country there are dedicated servers in Valencia (300kms from where I live) but not many, if I open the range enough it almost always put me into a server in the UK or Netherlands, I guess there are a lot of dedis over there. If you mean the admin mode you activaded for me? I've used the "incorrect location" and "thumbs down" button maybe couple of times.
