Taff
just throwing this minor fix that may help with low speed on some routers, it may or may not be the problem with some slow speeds. go to control panel>hardware and sound>device manager>look for network adapters>ethernet controller> click on it driver then update. i have windows 10 and for some reason they dont have any updated network drivers out for it yet (atheros 8171) for me so maybe its your network drivers that could be outdated. reading a lot about QOS and it seems that BQL (byte que limits) is needed to enable a bufferbloat program, normally it is, but i may have to get me a "nic card" to get around the problem. here is the technical term for it.http://www.bufferbloat.net/projects/bloat/wiki/bql_enabled_drivers
Asentrix
Just a quick note , you should never let windows automatically install drivers for you , it can cause massive issues. Instead , you should always visit your manufacturers website and install each driver manually Anyways , thanks for the tip
