Dillinger Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I am actually not getting any activity in the Network Monitor for any of my devices.... And there begins the opening we needed.... Okay, you have connectivity to the internet with the PS4 and you are actively watching a video or something that would show up, correct?
Tommy885 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Did anything come on the network monitor after that ?
cali_0788 Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 No. I haven't gotten any activity. Not for my Surface or my phone either.
Dillinger Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Okay, can you take a picture, or walk me through, your set up coming from the wall? What gear you have? Connected in what order? Do you have another device providing wireless internet to the house? Do you have Comcast by any chance and you are on their XFinity free everywhere horseshit? I am assuming not because you can access the webpage on what I assume is your surface....
cali_0788 Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 I have Charter service. A charter modem connected to the cable from the wall. And then the Netduma directly connected to the Charter modem. Then the Netduma connect by wire to my PS4. I don't have any other wireless routers or providers.
Tommy885 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Try restarting the modem and the r1 modem first then r1 and see if that works
Dillinger Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Good call Tommy, have you restarted the Charter gear as well? I know they recommend leaving it unplugged for 90 seconds in all the "how to" stuff. I'm registering about the limits of my depth on this one, my friend. Everything that I can see in my mind's eye says you have all you need right there, but why it's not working is puzzling. Let's try reversing the nameless device to ENABLED and the PS4 to DISABLED and then check the network monitor with the PS4 playing a video or something that you can track.
Dillinger Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 You tried reversing them already? At this point I would be tempted to block them, reboot, delete them and start over by hard wiring your PS4 and turning it on for the "first time" to re-register. I can't see a reason why you can get to the internet but can't track traffic going do the device.
Dillinger Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Cali - These are the official steps, have you seen/done these previously? http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=why_can_t_i_see_anything_on_the_geofilter Trying to read through Ghosts-of-Geo-Problems-Past in other threads now that are similar to find you an answer.....
Dillinger Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Cali - You can't get any games? You Can't see any hosts? Are both of those statements true?
cali_0788 Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 I can get games, but not see hosts. Now that I factory reset it I cant even connect to the Internet with the router. I'm now on my phone.
cali_0788 Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 I did. I found the new password lol. Back on the surface
cali_0788 Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 ok, im not using chrome, so I'm downloading that and will see if that helps.
Tommy885 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 did you want to have a 1on1 ? using team viewer ? i might not be able to fix the problem but i can give it a try
cali_0788 Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 Well I followed the steps in the guide and it's working now.
cali_0788 Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 It was either not using Chrome or not having the bleeding cloud selected. Either way, I greatly appreciate both of your guys' help. Thank you very much!!!!
