    on the port selection on xbox i don't have that port 3074 available as an option.

    Thanks for the reply. Didnt know about the authentication servers. Yes i do have playstaion and xbox on geofilter. My wife and I play COD at same time. So was trying to make sure she has a good gaming experience so she don't quit lol. I can take one of the devices off. I'll have to watch the video and do this test later. Video to small to see on my phone. I thought I was onto something as to why my ping numbers are way higher on the r3 vs the xr500.

    @Netduma Fraser Ok, hopefully i can explain my train of thought correctly. Thanks to the nat issue when i boot up the xbox on the r3 it gives me servers in Europe that i had to allow in order for me to be open. When i use the xr500 servers in Missouri/ Arkansas central USA showed up when booting up the xbox. Does this mean my info travels to those places first before going to the local california servers to play COD. In my mind this would make sense as to why the ping is higher on my r3, If my packets have to travel to Europe first. Is there a way to switch these initial servers? Am i correct in this line of thinking? What do those servers do when i first log on? What is there purpose?

    For me those servers you mentioned still didnt come up when i first turned on xbox. 2 servers in Europe showed up and i allowed those. it helped to open nat i guess.

    After playing with Open nat. My ping to the servers are still high on the R3. The xr500 pings better, but the reason i ended up upgrading was because i had to keep restarting the internet on the xr500, as well as it would drop connection. Is there a possibility there is something wrong with my R3?

    OK so disabling everything besides UPnP did open my nat on xbox and the game itself .Thank you so much for that.

    I appreciate you going out of your way for this info. I watched the video and I will try it after work tomorrow. You should take the video down or delete that post though because it contains your personal ip in the COD network page. You dont want some wierdos out there to get that info.

    Those servers did not show up for me. is there a way to add them manually. Some servers did show up and i added those. It seemed like it made nat open on the xbox itself. When inside COD though it still shows up as moderate. Does this make a difference? Besides Nat issues. Nothing has changed with new update. Connection is still very consistently high.

    yes i have xbox on dmz and a port open for 3074 udp and tcp for the xbox. Only other device in use would be the playstation since wife and i play COD at the same time. Smartboost is set to gaming priority. then video and streaming 2nd with nothing else. Congestion control i have as 50% download and 70% upload. because that gives me the highest grade on bufferbloat. I do not change the geo-filter mid game. I tend to not touch it much at all.

    Have new update. Rebooted everything. tried a few matches. Only thing different is i have moderate nat type that i cant get back to open. i deleted rules for port forwarding and re added xbox.

    Tried installing update 4.0.402. It gave me an error and did not install. Am i using the wrong file?

    Netgear nighthawk cm1200. The modem is connected to the R3. And everything else pc, xbox and playstation are connected to the R3 with ethernet cables. What do you mean bridge mode? That was an option on the XR500 that i had disabled. I dont see that option on the r3

    i did try this. The game gave me a txt box that said cant connect to any server.

    Just got the R3 recently and have it updated to v4.0.290. I live in California and for some reason i cant get any lobbies that are under 60ms latency. On average I'm in 80ms games. When i use the Xr 500 i can set it to 30 ping strict mode on and get good games with 20 to 30ms latency. On the R3 i have steady ping disabled. have tried both geo-latency on and off. Even when i turn off everything i cant get a stable connection. Ping heat map for black ops 6 shows all yellow dots with 60ms or higher. On the Xr500 the ping heat map shows green with 30ms ping. I feel like i have tried everything, but idk. pls help.
