ive done tried ALL of that, the only way i could get the ping test under load even remotely close to where it should be is if i choke it down to like 10% on the congestion control and set to always. And like i said i have 2.5GIG up and down TRUE fiber optic internet and my XR700 passes with a A+ every single time even with congestion control set to always and set at 100% on both. I really wish they wouldnt have stopped supporting the XR700 cause its literally the best gaming router on the market!! I dont know what the deal is with this XR1000v2 is but the ping test under load is a huge L!! i even updated the firmware to the newest one and as soon as its done it tells me theres a new firmware update and its wanting me to "update" to a older FW version.

Hello, i currently have the XR700 and the XR1000v2. With my XR700 hard wired into my PC with fiber optic internet the ping test under load is barely higher then the normal ping test which results in a A+ every time. But on my XR1000v2 with the same settings across the board as my XR700 the ping test under load is up around the hundreds with a D score every time. I don’t understand how it can be so different than the XR700. The XR700 isn’t supported anymore so I’m thinking of switching it out with the 1000v2 and I can’t do that with the test failing so badly.

I currently have the netgear nighthawk XR700 which I recently found out it’s and it’s end of cycle period so it will no longer be receiving firmware updates from netgear. I also have a XR1000v2 but for some reason my “ping test (under load)” always fails miserably!! My regular ping is always a 12 but under load the V2 skyrockets to around 90 but the XR700 is always a A+ result under load. So needless to say I’m in the market for a new gaming router and I LOVE the DumaOS operating system with the limitless customization for gaming. I found the R3 and was getting ready to submit my order with their summer discount and then i noticed it’s only a 1gb WAN. I have 5gig up and down fiber internet and if I’m gonna upgrade routers then I want one that supports at least 2gig speed. HOPEFULLY the R3 pro or R4 will come SOON and it’ll support 2gig speed. There’s literally not a single router in existence that has the DumaOS system and supports 2gig speed except the XR700 that I have but I only have 1 Ethernet port on my PC so unless I wanna add a dual port Ethernet PCIE card I can’t even use the 2gig port aggregation on the router.
