  1. Fair enough. You'd think a developer would want to hear about bugs, but if they have a need to be shielded from the great unwashed then I suppose we'll have to wait for them to stumble on the problems themselves. Thanks all the same!
  2. Hi Mannrs. It's a wifi connection, although I tie down the Gen 3 to my choice of channels and turn off band steering (as I'd do with any modem or router). It's in a rural setting with no competing wifi networks, so channel conflict isn't possible either. Not to worry, I simply won't use it.
  3. Yes, that's fair. Although getting support from Telstra is like getting democracy from Putin: they both claim to offer it but you'd be naive to expect it. You guys MUST have some direct dealing with whoever writes firmware for the LH1000. So please let me know: who can I email? Who do I call? Where do I send a bug report to the source of the bug, rather than to a behemoth that does nothing?
  4. Telstra only offers Internet Optimiser with cable and fibre connections - not with older ADSL, satellite and wireless. So no, definitely not happening on my connection. Can you un-confuse me here - isn't the whole operating system of the Gen 3 (and Gen 2) based on Duma OS?
  5. I've read this thread with interest. I have tried 2 Gen 3 Telstra modems on my farm property, which is stuck on old DSL with a connection speed of about 7 mbps down, 1 mbps up. One is brand new as at 2025. Funnily enough, the slow connection is surprisingly useable when I'm on a Telstra Gen 2 (DJA0231) because the latency is quick. I can play WoW, Starcraft etc. Even Netflix is OK! There's no internet optimiser from Telstra for its DSL services, so it's just plain vanilla internet. On the Gen 3 I get HUGE lag spikes at irregular intervals, Gaming pings will go from 220 ms (normal in Australia to US servers) way up to 3000+ ms - sometimes for 20 seconds, often enough to disconnect. There's no line dropout, no loss of sync, nothing I can see in the logs. So - to the Netduma folk watching - I don't know exactly what you think you fixed in 2024, but in 2025 there's still a major screw loose. A shame, too, because the Gen 3 is a nice bit of hardware that I'd like to upgrade to.
  6. Hi guys. Long time reader, first time poster. I have both the Technicolor and Arcadyan versions of the Telstra Gen 2. As I understand it they both run NetDuma under the hood, although the UI is very different between them. I also run a Western Digital MyCloud (OS5) via wired Ethernet. On the Arcadyan version there seems to be some fundamental conflict, in which the SMB server MyCloud is only fleetingly visible to other clients on the network. It's unusable. I've tweaked every setting on the MyCloud, including getting it to communicate by SMB1, 2, 3 and combinations of those. It seems like the standard "Workgroup" set up by the router is buggy or intermittent? For what it's worth, I also own an Optus Ultra Wifi Gen 2 (also an Arcadyan product) and the problem also crops up on that one. But the Technicolor Telstra Gen 2 (DJA0231) has no issues at all. Can anyone shed light on this?
