Thankyou. I pretty much followed what these guides tell. The only thing I could find in my set up that didn't match the guide there is the show status window doens't really have an IP or anything except for the address bar which is 192.168.1.1 which is not what I think the guide is referring to. But when I go into noip and check the ip address attached to my account it doesn't match with the wan IP from the Dashbaord. I tried updating this manually to my Wan IP to test it out but still I couldn't connect to the network. Any particular setting that could mess up with the connection? I hear firewalls are the most common cause... But this is between the router and my ISP... not sure how a firewall could affect it though.... Thinking any particular option which is known to be messing the connection up. Or some setting in the ovpn file that has worked for other users?

Hi I am trying to connect to my home internet/network through OpenVPN. I am using XR500 and am on firmware - V2.3.2.134. Here is what I did - Settings >> advanced Settings I have set up a dynamic DNS with a Host Name with .... {myusername}.mynetgear.com . This worked like a Charm. Then went to VPN Service - Enbaled VPN Service with default settings. Download the config files for Mac and Mobile and tried connecting using the OpenVPN with the ovpn file. But my connection didn't work. It just said "Connection Timeout". Looking at the log, it just tries to connect to my hostname through 12973 via UDP. which is what is the default setting but isn't able to connect. Any help with this would be really appreciated.
