Ethernet cable type isn’t meant to give you low latency. Cat5e and up can handle normal internet speeds like 1000/1000. So I would recommend cat6 if you got 1000/1000 or less and cat7 if you got 10gbps internet speed.

You don’t need Cat8 cable for gaming and you can get any Cat8 cables as long as it’s RJ45.

1. Netduma set on DMZ 2. EE router does not have modem or bridge mode 3. Already have ip reserved for my gaming device
-
1. Main EE router never resets 2. Netduma ethernet cable loses connection 3. Comes back automatically but takes a while 4. I’ve only seen it happen when I play Call Of Duty /WZ 5. it happens less often when I have steady ping off

I’m always down to try it mate

So when I’m doing a test on ping optimiser I get for example 7ping on 70% speed congestion but at the end even tho the lower ping was 7 on 70% it will say the best ping/settings is on 99% speed congestion?? This happens everytime.. here’s 2 pics below; as you can see I was getting the best ping on 87% but the router chose 99% ??

The tutorial you sent me uses a different kind of router so they don’t talk about configuration files whatever so ever. I don’t get what to put there in the config files tab. Very frustrating

Hey i downloaded surfshark VPN but i can’t seem to find VPN config File anywhere?

I play Cold War which is a old call of duty so you meet the same ppl many times a day. This one guy on pc boots me everytime he sees me lol “your router getting fried” is the last thing i see in game chat before disconnecting from the game. normal ddos just stresses your network but now they got some new ways to ddos which prevents my PS5 from connecting to the network when everything else is working fine. Could you tell me few free VPN names as I’m not very familiar?
-
Thank you for replying Zli. I’m in the UK and its for Call Of Duty. I’ve been getting ddos almost everyday so I was wondering if a VPN would stop me from getting booted.

I just updated the R3 to the latest firmware and it’s absolutely rubbish. On 219 firmware I was getting A+ bb and now getting C with barely any speed. Not trying to be rude but you guys messed up with the new update. look at the difference below; Also somebody please help me get back to firmware 219 as I’m not very familiar with the R3.

Hey, first time writing here. I hope everyone’s having a nice day. I jus ordered the R3 and was thinking if I plug my R3 straight to my FTTP ONT box (Fibre modem) would give me the best experience or have my EE router plugged as normal then connect that to my R3. I have low ping on EE but it’s not stable at all so I’m just curious which is the best option.
