Righty. Well evrything i did before didnt end up staying. Went back to double again. So lets try this way. explain everything i will need to change from say default settings. If this doesnt work. I will mail it back to you so you can frame it as it defeated me totally. Been nonstop since i got it. Never been able to fully enjoy it. Spend way more time with this than gaming.
-
Yeah. Linksys my main. Have 2 nodes connected to that to extend the wireless throughout house and outside. Got netduma connected to main linksys. Linksys in dmz and static ip for r3. If come off games then go on later or day after. When ever. The open nat then switches back to double strict. I have to reboot everything and get open again. Settings never change if i reboot r3 only. It stays stritc. Of do both i get open.
-
i will check in again later. Was chatting away to linksys for about 5-6hrs yest lol. Trying lots of things. Wouldnt work. Ive done port forward on r3. Ive turned off a firewall. Its still open nat settings at the moment. Which is best ive had since using sky router. I had to port forward on the sky to get open to stay then. We shall see guys anyway. ive tried turning that filter off before. Received no net on xbox for some reason.

Its all safe right. Uploading all that on here
-
That seems very complicated. Im just a guy lol. Im talkin to linksys right now. See what they say
-
So if its on the linksys. I wonder what setting it could be that needs changing. All i know is its a pain.
-
Wish i could bridge it as know would solve the issues surely. Kinda need my nodes that i have to get signal around the house and down in garden. Wonder if the nighthawk or whatever it is that also does duma/geofiltering would work any better or exactly the same.
-
So just reboot everything one more time in dmz and the static set to get my open nat again. Then see how goes. Surely i will be back in a day. But i will leave it few days. would i even have to set the static ip to duma if i pay for my own anyway.
-
No i mean the nodes are coonected to the linksys. They are basically my linksys router. One is set as main. Others have as boosters around home. I have 3. Heres a link for them. They are connect fibres main router. https://amzn.eu/d/flfZwGK https://store.linksys.com/support-article?articleNum=48066#H2
-
Yeah that the firmware. If i was able to somehow get the sonos on. Guessing all my extra nodes wont work around the home then as in bridge mode.
-
It isnt that. I dont tend to have auto bands. Why i wanted new router in first place as skys router you couldnt sep bands.
-
Hi fraser. Right ive been back and forth with this lol. Had enough. I went to my provider. Cant inform me on 3rd party but dont see why what u said wouldnt work. So i bit the bullet and added on my own static ip with the provider. My ip isnt changing at all. Totally static. Run with the settings u said to have. No matter what i do. The day after it always goes back to double nat and strict. Been nonstop since i purchased this. Wish could send it back lol. I cant run in bridge as for some reason my sonos dont like connecting to the netduma. So what could this be do you think as its costing me money trying to figure it out and paying for own ip.
-
I will try something with their tech team. I know it isnt meant to act like this clearly. Drives me mad lol. I will let you know what i find out.
-
Hi fraser. I sorted this out yesterday again. All settings were as should be by the way. Nothing had changed at all. Come to go on again today. Double nat again. So go in. Check. All same. So i have to do it yet again. Daily. This is insane, it will be the death of me lol
-
Strict and whatnot affect your lobbies. Say on cod that i play. Alot of peeps are trying to get strict lobbies and using vpn to try get into bot lobbies lol. But it does affect your lobbies for sure. When strict i cant jump in with my mate thats open. I have double nat strict. Which i will sort out again later. But all i know is what bothers my game play with cod.
-
Not tried it yet. Whys one guy putting it in bridge mode and more reserving ip for r3 and running dmz. i will for sure get round to having a look in a bit. Weathers been ok so got plenty done outdoors. U know how it is.
-
I will have to try everything tomorrow. I will boot everything up and check all settings as fraser mentioned. After that i will post and go from there. May just get my own static ordered and should fix the issue forever. No more back and forth. Would rather not spend even more money each month on it. But we shall see
-
My dmz wasnt just then. We were getting everything ready yet again after reset.
-
I did reserve a static ip address before on the linksys as fraser told me to do that already. All that worked. Just went back to double nat within a week. Really thought we had got it. Dont understand why its so much bother to setup and get cracking. Only wanted it for better gaming, possibly lag free. Not headaches.
-
Not really as have multiple extenders/nodes attatched to it. Had this issue before switching from sky to connect fibre and adding on nodes also so know it isnt that. I can reset everything and get it all back to open. It just doesnt last long at all. So guessing for some reason the static isnt actually setting or something along those lines. Do really enjoy the r3 when working as should. Its just this that annoys me. Literally turned it off when happened again and havent switched it on since. Only had it so many months lol. Of comes to it i guess i would have to pay extra to get connect fibre to give me my own static
-
No thats what i mean, its literally switched off. At mains. Zero power. He always switches it off at mains after shutting it down.
-
It wouldnt of been on when last did router nor times before it.
-
U asking me to reset my xbox, and his xbox isnt turned on. Usually only is for an hour or so a day.
-
Not on the netduma no. Mine is hardwired on the netduma. My sons wireless on the linksys
