Hello Netduma Team, I've been using the GeoFilter settings you recommended on my R3 for the past two weeks (GeoLatency disabled, Ping Assist disabled, Strict Mode enabled, Fast Search disabled), and it has worked perfectly for COD. Thanks for providing this fantastic tool. Now, my Japanese friend can finally enjoy the game with me from Europe when I set the GeoFilter to the US. However, starting yesterday (December 30, 2023), I've encountered an issue where a mysterious server located in London is not being denied and consistently appears outside my GeoFilter circle. Normally, it seems like the game recognizes my "virtual" location set by the GeoFilter. For example, if I set it to Spain, the game automatically starts searching for games with a ping of less than 63ms (Madrid server). Similarly, when set to the Center US, the game prioritizes lobbies with less than 138ms ping (Chicago server). However, with this London server slipping through the filter, the game always looks for lobbies with less than 42ms ping first, which disrupts the functionality of the GeoFilter. I have already rebooted the router, my PC, and the game multiple times, but the issue still persists. Any advice on how to address this recent issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year in advance! ps. Blocking this London server doesn't resolve the issue as a new one in proximity consistently emerges.

Same here. I have a port forwarding rule for my reverse proxy setup on NAS. The rule definitely works, despite being labeled as “inactive”. My assumption is that the 'inactive' label is controlled by the on/off toggle on the right. It should reflect the position of the toggle, but it doesn't work correctly at the moment.

Hello, I did the test. Please check the attached screenshot. I created a rule that allows all traffic to all devices (a rule that only applies to my laptop and my iPad also tested). Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. By the way, I also tested with SmartQoS disabled and Steady Ping disabled, still not working. Based on my knowledge, certain routers, such as Netgear, Asus, and Ubiquiti, have a feature known as AP Isolation or Client Isolation. This security feature, typically intended for guest networks, prevents local devices from communicating with each other. This issue reminds me of AP Isolation. It's possible that, in the current firmware, this feature was unintentionally enabled for the main network. I am grateful for the continued active support from the Netduma team, especially appreciated during the busy holiday season. Thank you again. ps. some results of pining two wireless devices from my laptop (5GHz). 10.0.1.182 is my iPad, 5GHz as well, packets were all lost. 10.0.1.159 is my 2.4GHz phone, which is reachable from my laptop.

Dear Netduma Team, do you have any updates on this issue? Thanks in advance. I wrote steps to reproduce in my post.
-
Steps to reproduce: Connect two devices wirelessly to R3's Wi-Fi, make sure they use the same Wi-Fi frequency, either both 5GHz or both 2.4GHz. Ping each other. Expected result: Both devices should be able to communicate with each other. Actual result: They can't communicate with each other. Firmware versions tested: v4.0.19 and v4.0.20 Remarks: 2.4GHz <-> 5GHz works. WLAN <-> LAN works. I haven't tested two wired devices. This is a serious issue, it would impact local file sharing, smart home devices, printers, wireless debugging, etc. Please help.

I tested with an old phone with only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi support. It worked, the phone can see my iPad on 5GHz band, however, if both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi frequency, they can't see each other. It's reproducible, I can confirm. I believe AirPlay and HomePods Pairing issues are all caused by this bug.

I tested 3 games in MW3 with geo latency disabled, it’s a small sample size, but yes, it does filter inside the circle. I even made a change to the circle during this game session, it worked. However, with geo latency enabled, the result became inconsistent, sometimes the router shows I was connecting to a server in Los Angeles, but in reality I was connected to a local server in Europe and servers outside the circle were not denied. I have Ping Assist disabled.

In my case, with geo latency enabled, simple mode works better than custom mode, I would say the custom mode doesn’t work at all. But with geo latency disabled, it works suddenly much better.

I am having the same issue. This is my post in R3’s forum. https://forum.netduma.com/topic/52907-unable-to-connect-to-the-local-wi-fi-server/ Please take a look, I am pretty sure it’s the same problem. Luckily I found another recent post https://forum.netduma.com/topic/52834-wifi-client-isolation-issue/ talking about this. It seems devices on the same Wi-Fi frequency can’t communicate each other, which explains your problem. I have also a HomePod, already configured, it uses 5GHz Wi-Fi frequency just like my phone. This is a very serious problem, dear Netduma team, please help.

Hello Mordac, I am also a R3 user and I am experiencing a similar issue, already reported here https://forum.netduma.com/topic/52907-unable-to-connect-to-the-local-wi-fi-server/ I was browsing the forum to see if anyone has experienced the same bug and I saw your post. Please take a look, I think it’s the same problem. In short, my Mac can’t see my iPad, they are both connected to Wi-Fi 5GHz, but it’s possible to see my NAS, which is hard wired to the router. Netduma team, sorry to bother you before Christmas, but please help, it’s a serious issue. Update: I tested with an old phone with only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi support. It worked, the phone can see my iPad on 5GHz band. I can confirm that my issue was also caused by this band isolation issue.

I also tried the SMB file sharing protocol. My iPad can't connect to my Mac with SMB enabled, but it can connect to my NAS. The difference is my Mac is connected to Wi-Fi and my NAS is hard wired. I will buy a USB-C to Ethernet dongle to do more tests. ps. 1. The default 192.168.77.x range (if I remember correctly) has also been tested, not working. 2. If you want to reproduce this issue, I recommend to download an iOS app called nPlayer Lite, it's a free video player with local file sharing feature through http. Just tap + and choose Using Browser.

I have multiple updates below, please check my latest reply. Dear Netduma Team, I have just received my R3, this is my first Netduma product, I am satisfied with my purchase, but I am currently experiencing a weird issue and I need your help. Some mobile apps provide a Wi-Fi server feature, essentially functioning as a local HTTP server for sharing files, a feature you must have already used previously. However, after having switched to R3, I am unable to establish a connection from my computer to my iPad at its IP address, in this case 10.0.1.86 (I've adjusted the settings to use the 10.0.x.x range), 80 is the default port, I have already tried other ports. I've tried multiple apps on both my iPad and iPhone, but none of them seem to be effective. On the other hand, Apple AirDrop (wireless) works fine and my Synology NAS (wire) can be accessed using its local IP address in any browser. I don't use VLAN, there is no ISP router either. Thanks in advance.
