Hi to forum! From ur experience, what is better to have? Smart Boost to gaming (top) or Bandwidth Reservation PUBG 20down 20up? .540 firm ver. Thnx a lot in advance

When we say hard reset to the R3, we mean the factory reset from the small button behind the router and not from the netduma os-> troubleshooter->factory reset? Am I correct, I said noob question 😀. I think I have done 2 wrong things to the router and it's like after factory reset the problems is not leaving. 1) I downgraded from some newest firmware to the factory suggest (I don't remember the version) 2) in the smartboost section I add all the options to top and I just play with the numbers, ex. Gaming 1000, texting 10, streaming 10 & nothing to background. Today I use the latest firmware and all the new features works like it should. The weird thing starts that if I want to add manual priority from "favorites" the apply doesn't work and I have to push back from the browser. Also if I spam the refresh button from the browser in the smartboost page(chrome with cleaned cashe) after some refreshes the smartboost adds some default different options that I had. Ex. Video 1st gaming 2nd streaming 3rd And all that starts when I have done the downgrade and full smartboost options. That's why I ask if there is another hard reset option that I don't know. Sorry for the long message, I hope I expressed correct what is my prob, sorry for my bad English, is not my first language 😀.

Hi to team and forum again. Excellent work with the latest update. But I have a weird problem. When I want to make reservation with a game. The first time I pushing save it doesn't work and it's like it stuck. I have left it over 1 min but nothing happens. Then if I do 3 times refresh the chrome page (but I have to do also the reservation again). It's working. But the weird thing is that after the three page refresh, at the smartboost activities, the app adds random priorities activities. Different for what I used to have. 1)Movies 2)Gaming 3)Texting I have try to do both of factory resets, app or the router button but nothing works. I m using app ver. 4.0.219 Thanks a lot in advance, sorry for my bad English, if anyone needs to explain it more feel free to tell me 🙂

Ok ok and it's the logical thing. 🙂 So if we want to limit the internet for the A+ bufferbloat we can do it by limiting the max speeds by 70% or we don't have that option without congestion control. Sorry if what I'm saying doesn't make sense.

Hi to forum again! When we say, disable smartboost, what exactly we mean? we leave it on but without any option active ex. (Gaming or prioritized device)? I'm asking cause if we actually disable smartboost we can't have congestion control active. Or am I doing something wrong? Sorry for my noob question🙂

I m not gonna lie I Google what a hop is/mean, but I got it 😂. One more question, sorry for the spam. I can use PPPoE via R3 WAN as I say and works perfect. but when I go to advance settings and adding VLan on with my provider value of 835. My connection goes offline (I have done modem reset, still no). Is something I m doing wrong? Does it have an actual point/reason of having this on?

am i complete crazy that i think with PPPoE settings on R3, the internet is super responsive and stable? i have in R3 all off except, QoS.

Ok ok, so DHCP in R3, and what ip I get I will use it for the fritz ip4 exposed host. And as i can imagine, this is the optimal settings for R3 with fritz routers without having double Nat types etc etc. Thanks in advance again, sorry for my bad English 🙂

this is what i have done to fritz... for this IP (R3), open everything for IPv4, IPv6 is closed for both of them, from what i have read from the forum. but in my R3 WAN settings what Connection Type i should use? DHCP, Static, or PPPoE

Hi to community! i would like to ask what is the best WAN settings to use for my R3 From my provider i have, PPpOE fiber 1gb down and 100mb up the router i have is FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber, cause it is voip, the router doesnt support bridge mode or DMZ. it only has, pppoe Passthrough and Port Sharing (witch i have enable both of them). What is the best settings for my R3 WAN, PPPoe or DHCP. (i have my provider PPpOE user & pass) . thnx in advance.

Yeah I can understand that and it's logical. I think only if we had custom list with blocked server. Like what I'm doing right now. When I I have a 21 server I m blocking them and I approve only the 60. 🙂

Hi to community again. Noob question. I have seen the last days, that COD has 2 types of servers, 21 Tickrate & 60 Tickrate, is there a possibility with geo filter, have the option to allow only 60+ Tickrate servers. .41 version (best so far, i think that after some good and big updates the R3 is gonna be legend!)

Thanks a lot for the interest an the answers! Nice community! Maybe I wasn't very clear with what my problem is. My main prob is if I'm not doing everything ok with the results I get. To start with. I have internet and everything seems to work ok with R3. I have a fiber connection, 1000 down 100 up. With my fritz router I get 1025down and 105up. What I did. Turn off my fritz WiFi. Then from my 2.5 out lan1 I connect my R3 to wan. All devices are connected to R3 and nothing to Fritz. Then I do the factory wizard from R3 (.23 version). And from the scan for internet it says "internet found" etc etc. Everything works ok and with R3 I get 938down and 105up. I know 938 is ok for speed cause the wan import is 1gb. My PC lan import is 2.5 so I can get the max from fritz speeds. My question is, with that I have done is everything ok and works perfect or am I missing something that I don't know. I have read the community threads for the geo filters and the steady ping issues, I also have them, but we know, it's a new product and the best thing to do, is giving feedbacks and waiting for the updates. Again thnx a lot for the interest and sorry for my bad English 🙂.

Thnx for the answer. Unfortunate my ISP modem/router, from fritz 5530, doesn't support, bridge mode or DMZ. It only has pppoe passthrough. So finally what I have done is, to disable wifi from Fritz, and enable pppoe passthrough. Is it something else I should do to the R3?

Hi to forum again. I have a noob question. What is better to do with pppoe setup for the R3. Now I m running the R3 with just the wizard factory setup. It's says internet found and it seems it's just fine and working. Is it better to run some different settings with bridge etc etc or this is the best I can do? If is there some instructions how to properly setup a pppoe connection it would be perfect. I have the provider codes so this is not gonna be prob. Thnx in advance! (Sorry for my bad English it's not my first language 🙂)

Hello to the wonderful team of duma, i just receive my R3 and the product is super! excellent work! one simple question, in my device manager is still better to name my PC device as a "Games Console", cause in my tests, the GEO filter in "The finals" is not working, but in MW3 & destiny 2 it does. the weird thing when i rename my PC device as "Games Console" the GEO it works for everything but it also tries to stabilize the server from the discord. am i doing something wrong or i should just leave to "Games Console" thanks a lot, in advance. sorry for my bad English, its not my natural language 😀
