the netduma disconnects, says internet is no longer connected

so i bought express vpn and set it up in the netduma os, everything is connected and good but as soon as i turn on the vpn the netduma stops working, turn it off it comes right back on again. any help would be appreciated

i just got the netduma r2, set up my geo fence as strict, 1000km, im in virginia and it keeps putting me in this "allowed server" in UK that wont let me deny it
