  1. Every bit of info I ever did on research stated it was bufferbloat. Hell, refer to my previous screenshots in this exact thread about switching around the settings on the router settings, etc, which affected not only speeds but the bufferbloat ratings, etc. It's all there. I don't know. I feel the cable line is only going to be so good, even 'gig' speed, however, I also feel it's probably something I can 'help' a bit, at least, if I had the right know how or windows/router/etc settings.
  2. If that was an option I would have done it longgg ago. So, no way you can think of to lower my bufferbloat at all, eh?
  3. Honestly it's just usually me using it. A family member sometimes using tablet for a basic casino app or something, but nothing much other than me.
  4. Ah, probably true. I do have the issue without the router too, yes. I have the modem plugged into the router, and I hardwire into the router as well. And I have the XR450 router. My modem is a Arris S33 and I have the "gig" internet from comcast. And yes, the numbers bufferbloat show are a cause for concern, when every ms of ping in competitive fps games means something. Especially when it's +50, like mine is. QoS is currently on and set to 'always.'
  5. Seemed like an idea they thought I should try, rather than spam.. But yeah. As far as your question, yes. I stream, and when I don't stream, I'm multi-task watching stuff while gaming; so I consistently use my connection in multiple ways.. Thus the bufferbloat issue is why I looked into it to begin with. I really wish there was something I could do.
  6. I saw the user 'Newtrch' posted the following to try (but for some reason, his message was completely removed and is no longer here): "netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled" Well, I tried it. And here was my results (C grade at 'normal' and B grade at 'disabled' however, much less speed on disabled. So, months and months later, with no 'update' for firmware to fix any type of issue from the router, itself, I'm stuck still at C grade crap bufferbloat everyday on my gig cable internet.
  7. I don't know if I'd call incompetence; however, it does seem that this issue should have been addressed or updated, by now. I do feel it looks like a forever 'keep checking back' type issue. They might mean well, but I've not seen much from DumaOS as far as fixing the issue, goes. Seems like the real answer is.. Get fiber, or deal with what you got going on. Unfortunately, in my area, there's no fiber. Only this Comcast/Xfinity cable "gig" internet stuff. So, C tier bufferbloat for me, as well.
  8. Any updates on anything coming in for this, yet? I've stayed checking the 'check for update' in the firmware section of DumaOS, as well. Nothing, yet.
  9. Not sure what to look for, but I'll try to keep an eye out. Thanks for trying to help me!
  10. Thanks for all the info. Any clue when you think that update will be coming? Or how can I 'subscribe' somewhere to find said update once it releases?
  11. Ah.. I see. So.. what can I do, for now? nothing? Newer router with better cpu/more ram won't help my cause?
  12. Really?? What can I do? The techs didn't seem to know anything about anything. I really want a lower bufferbloat score =[ I stream, so some of my connection is always being used.. So I know it's a thing. Makes games like valorant tough, because I get the small added delay when seeing/shooting, etc.
  13. It's always been this way, in ipv4, for me. I noticed it years ago, too. Thought ipv4 was just busted. So I've used ipv6 since then, and had no issues. It does not change in speeds like it does when I turn ipv6 off. Stable connection. Just trying to get that bufferbloat under control.
  14. Tried that. It's very inconsistent. Nothing else is using my internet at that time. And when I've been streaming lately, sometimes 8-10 hours a day, 0 dropped frames/packet loss. So it's not that related, either. I'm really at a loss at what to do/try to fix this bufferbloat issue.
