  1. Well don't I feel silly. Resetting once again did the trick. My fault - I was told it was reset just last evening, but obviously not by me. Different question however: Every so often my mother has a small hissy fit saying that the network broadcast from the duma reads as public on her computer instead of private. Seems to think that's the difference between someone hacking in and stealing all her small business and clients information (LOL). (As a sidenote, her laptop may indeed be hacked already anyway. occasionally the mouse/cursor moves by itself and she's witnessed it opening emails without her input. Not good). I'm not seeing a place within the network settings to change anything from public to private, though as well this being our home setup, I don't really think it matters at all. You could correct and educate me on that one I am sure. The network of course still requires a passcode and everything.
  2. Saw a few threads that were possibly similar to my issue, but they were either closed or I didn't want to butt into all ya'lls problem solving. Anyway.. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't login into the OS all the time. Pretty much get everything set up good, and then since everything is pretty much working I kind of forget to. So, it's probably been most of the winter since I've even tried. The current setup on the property is: modem (standalone) -> R2 -> 2 access points The wifi and my access point have been pretty good; I've just had to hard reset every so often, but that is normal here. Apparently the other access point stopped broadcasting a few weeks ago. (I wasn't told for at least 2 weeks and somehow that's MY problem - LOL - but I digress. That's its own thing). Anyway, I'm attempting to troubleshoot this morning. I was thinking some of it could be the access point/powerline adapters in question as they are several years old and I doubt my sister is smart enough to have even unplugged and reset/refreshed them every so often. On the other hand, I figure I should boot up the OS and see if I can see anything within, if the access point is registered by the router etc., but no dice. Last night I tried to login via the Netduma app - It gave me the message "An unexpected error has occurred". Weird. This morn, I have tried to login via browser: On my laptop here, it accepted my user/pass and seems to even still be in a login loop. It has the message(s) "DumaOS is not loaded yet! Don't worry we will redirect you shortly", and it seems to briefly attempt to load every few seconds. The end of the present url it is on is index.html?cache=0 if that tells anything. I then tried to login on my [android] phone browser, and that leaves the message "DumaOS is not running!" It all seems quite odd, and my guess is I am just going to have to factory reset and set it all up again, but I figured I would post to see if there's any more simple solution first.
  3. Hey ya'll, IKY here again. How to make the buildup short - So, basically our ISP (CenturyLink) and their equipment suck major *insert word here* and i finally have my R2 back up as main router. Internet works again, and has been as well as it ever gets here back at the 'rents. However, as you may be able to glean from the title, Xbox chat parties do not seem to connect. When i re-set my R2 up here i updated to the firmware released in June (3.2.453) which i believe to be the latest, correct? Geo-filter is off. Adblock is currently on but switched off for my xbox specifically just in case. Help? Thoughts? Prayers?
