The ping optimizer puts my sliders right back to 100% on mine but I’ve tried manually putting them to someone like 80% it don’t change anything. I think personally it’s something to do with steady ping trying to kick on when it’s disabled or something

I understand what steady ping is doing but like him I believe the issue is even when disabling steady ping the base ping of games is going higher for some reason. As an example the Georgia server for me has always been 14-16ms max but on the r3 although will still briefly ping that low if you run multiple tests on the ping heatmap instead is staying around 18-2 on the heatmap and in game. Hooked my r2 up just to make sure it wasn’t something with the game and instantly every game 14-16ms again instead of 18-21

I want to add my buddy that lives down the road also got an r3 and has the same issue

If it’s that much higher are you sure you don’t have the steady ping option enabled? That will make it higher but for me I have it disabled and my ping still sits at 18-20 instead of the normal 14-16. It will test lower every now and then on the ping heat map and it will go down to like 15ms every now and then in game but goes right back up when it use to not ever go over 16ms and would average 14-16.

Firstly I have steady ping off but the base pings to the servers are about 2-4ms higher then normal. For example the Georgia server usually gives me a ping between 14-16 max not it’s staying between 18-20. What could cause this?

Can someone explain to me what this ping test even means? Like what is it even pinging? The last week or so this ping test starts at 25/26 instead of 18/19 and a lot of times it will be fluctuating like in the picture with high jitter, at the same time some games/servers like the Georgia server on destiny will ping higher but then later on in the night goes back down to the normal 18/19 ms. I would feel like there is some type of issue but my isp tries to say we have to use their router to see any type of data which I know is dumb and they have me run speedtest.net which pings 2ms to their server and say there is no issues so what exactly is the ping test in the router even testing ?
