Stuff like ad blocker doesn’t work if the bt hub is in the loop, and geo fencing too. will the R2 allow me to remove the hub completely?

So I have an R1 and I’ve not been able to use it since purchase 3 years go. I have full fibre broadband from BT here in the UK. I’ve run it through the bt hub and got the speeds but the other features don’t work. on the other hand if I remove the bt hub and connect ppoe I connect but my speeds go from half a gig to 25mpbs. But then I get the features of duma OS. now I’ve tried all the optimisations the forums suggest i.e disable Qos and ipv6 but to no avail. will the R2 allow me to eliminate the bt hub completely?

ah yes sorry I forgot I already did that too. apologies, im also just re installing windows on the machine that is hard wired to see if its a LAN driver issue or the like as I can't see anything on the hub and router side being an issue unless im missing something.

as the title says ive upgraded but even after upgrading the net duma r1 OS firmware and turning off QOS im still only getting 150mbps down yet on the bt hub wifi im getting 400mbps not sure what else I can do, any ideas?
