  1. Hey Fraser, so far no luck on the ethernet cable being the issue. I turned off that Traffic Prioritization and I'm still getting those marking notices. Right now I'm leaning towards another router on the network being faulty, but we're going to direct line into the modem to see if we're still dropping packets for an extended period of time. The only other weird thing I noticed is that we're getting packets filtered by DoS protection that from legitimate IPs such as valve so I'm going to put that screenshot as well. Thanks again for bouncing some ideas back at me.
  2. Alright, I'll switch out the cable and turn off the network prioritization. That's in the QoS settings correct? Thanks for the quick response!
  3. Hi, I have been having some network issues the past couple of months and I've been trying to cover my bases. On Friday I ended up changing out my Asus AC3100 and picked up the XR500 and have really liked the OS and the tools that are built into the system. Unfortunately the issue still seems to remain even after the router was switched out but the network hiccups seems to have dropped in severity/frequency. The main reason I'm thinking it's an issue with our local network instead of our ISP is because our neighbors don't seem to be having the same issues at the same time. Anyway, we'll get a string of packet loss that will tend to happen for roughly 20-30 seconds then phase out. It seems to happen randomly, regardless of the network usage. Yesterday I had thought I solved the problem by replacing an old switch and things ran without packet loss for about 6 hours, then the issue reared it's head back. The issue doesn't seem to be happening at the modem level, since if we plug directly into the modem to one of the computers it never seems to drop packets while the network is acting up. I've been looking through the router logs, and it seems like it starts to have issues around the same time I get the message [DumaOS] Marking device that it marked X. Just wanted to know exactly what those logs meant, I would assume that it's the router trying to assign an IP to a device but I can never find that device on my network map. Thanks for any advice.
