  1. got my modem switched over with a TP-link 7610... downgraded my service from 300mbps to 100 mbps before after between last night and tonight
  2. I ordered a tc7610 comes in tomorrow ill let you know how it goes.. thank you!
  3. been running this for about an hour.. every 10 mins a pretty high spike yuck
  4. awesome .. for $37 im going to give it a go.. thank you so much!
  5. my ISP tells me this router only supports 100mbps but the product info says over 300... is there more they aren't telling me? https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-TC-7610-Download-343Mbps-Certified/dp/B010Q29YF8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1519783893&sr=8-1&keywords=tp+7610
  6. currently have spectrum internet (300+ mbps down /20+mbps up) using a ARRIS TM1602 been using it for a few years now and always notice a bit of lag and ping spikes.. after some research and comparing to your "good" list with my ISP my only options seem to be the TC7610 or the TC7610E .. what is the difference between the two? and would It be in my best interest to downgrade my service to the 100mbps package if im taking this route?
  7. thank you for your help much appreciated!
  8. that was my initial fear .. I know ive been using that modem for a few years now.. is there a modem brand/model you would recommend looking into?
  9. ARRIS TM1602 modem yes I had my Mac directly plugged into my modem at the time I tested
  10. here is my QoS screen.. dumbos classified games is enabled.. and rarely are any 2 of those devices used at the same time if that matters.. I try and limit everything else while I am gaming
  11. thank you for the quick reply!.. I think this is what you asked for?.. also is dumaOS ok to run with a iMac and safari?
  12. not sure if its an issue but after reading up on the forum here and others im concerned with my ping while gaming. im on the east coast..my ISP is giving me 300 down 20 up give or take ( I believe the initial test on the router was 346 down when I set it up).. my xbox one x is the only device on ethernet approx 25 ft away from the router. my average ping on the geo filter tab during a game is anywhere from 99-140.. occasionally it gets over 200. I have the radius set to 417 miles in strict mode is there anything im doing wrong here.. or maybe an issue setting it up?... maybe the ethernet cable is too long? not sure if that would cause a higher ping.. still kinda new to this set up.. my previous set up 2 months ago was an old netgear router and 60mbps down 5 up.. and im not sure how much betting this xr500 has made my connection (edit/ mainly playing PUBG, but ive used the same settings with fortnite, cod, battlefront, all with similar pings, also have tried the "profiles" in the geo filter tab and no change)
