  1. Thanks for replies chaps. I can't comment on whether gaming over vpn is recommended or not, but surely with piece of hardware that is so good in so many aspects it seems stupid to cut yourself off from a lot more sales because of your software? I alone have 4 people who would buy one of these if it wasn't the fact your software is rubbish when it comes to restricting the download speeds! Unless there are plans to change this then they as well as me will be going the openwrt route also. There are a lot of people looking for something like this for streaming purposes rather than gaming...especially after the latest eu ruling this week...
  2. Hi there. I have a IPvanish account of which I use to run within netduma. My issue is that going through the netduma seems to slow my speed down by over 75%!!!! If I run my devices through the ipvanish app directly I am getting over 20mbs, however going through netduma it's only around 7. Could someone tell me either why this is, and more importantly if there is anything I can do setup wise to sort this problem, or if there are plan for netduma themselves to sort it. Thanks
  3. Many thanks for your efficient help. New box is working great and an obvious improvement from old one, even speed going through the vpn is up by around 3mbs. Much happier. Thanks
  4. Yes every port except 4. Tried different leads that work on other devices. No light never lights up on that channel. As for accessing interface - I don't know, haven't tried as whenever plug into that one the symbol on computer doesn't change to acknowledge I'm plugged into anything, but will try later this evening when in . I tried a factory reset earlier to see if that made any difference, but got distracted by baby boy, so haven't checked again. Will try that late tonight also and let you know. OK, factory reset done nothing. Can't access interface through port 4, it's just dead. Having trouble trying to set up vpn now again as always seem to do on mine. My friend who is a network engineer always has problems with mine, but his netduma works fine....quite possibly all related!
  5. Good morning. I've had my netduma box for around 3 months. I've only just got to the point where I need to use all of the lan ports on it, and have subsequently found out on port number 4 is faulty and doesn't work. I've also had regular problems with the Wi-Fi seemingly stop working, have never taken much notice, but thinking that part of it may be faulty also, as my friends one is fine. I've emailed netduma, and they have replied saying to put the fault on here, and you will establish getting one replaced. RegardsAustin barber
