Cannot access Duma OS

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Would be better if you could make a new topic so we can focus on you there. When did it first start to occur, after an update, setting change etc?

Unplug the router from power for 10 minutes, then plug in, wait 2 minutes and then attempt access.

It has been down for a few days now. Only noticed when the wife said Netflix wasn't working!

No updates or setting changes, router still powered and advertising its SSID but no Internet access. My devices all pick up an IP from the range 77.10-254. I have tried accessing the OS but just constantly rec2the same errors as previously stated and shown in screenshots.

I have powered the R2 off several times and reset the factory settings (which I know worked as it has reset back to the default WiFi password).

Hi,

The R2 is now connected to my PC with no WAN connected to the Virgin Hub 3. It is still displaying the same message but still seeing the default gateway and being assigned an IP address.

Hi Liam.

Exactly the same issue, cleared all cache/browsing history and tried in incognito...

Thanks for confirming.

Have you set a static IP for your PC in Windows? Or is that the IP that the R2 has given you? This doesn't seem like an issue we've seen before so thank you for your patience with all these questions.

No problem, glad to assist with finding out what this could be.

No, PC is left on DHCP Auto. I have tried release/renewing the IP address, it does assign a new address but still no connection.

Just to add, I have also tried to connect to the R2 using my laptop to rule out a problem with the PC Ethernet port adaptor, same error present.

Have you changed the IP address to access your V hub at all? Is that in modem or router mode? Can you still access the V hub using 192.168.0.1 and does it show the R2 as an attached device?

Just been doing some testing. I had the Hub 3 in modem mode before all this happened but I have since had it in router mode so I can get some internet!

I put it back in modem mode, reconnected the R2 and tried to access again. Still same message - 192.168.77.1 refused to connect.

The Hub 3 shows dumaos listed as connected via ethernet, yes i can access 192.168.0.1 in router mode and 192.168.100.1 in modem mode no problem.

Even when it has no external WAN connection, literally just R2 to PC on the LAN it still shows that same message!

I work in IT and have not been this frustrated with a router since i can remember!

Morning.

I have checked that link and was just giving the same error.

I did have to restart the R2 a couple of times this morning as it wasn't pulling an IP from it's range. It was assigning random IP's such as 169.254.164.17 255.255.0.0

OK, that is a little more symptomatic of a similar issue we've seen. Is it now handing out the correct addresses again or not?

Last week my device broke down too. I have been working for a week, too, it did not improve. I try everyhing .Is there any way to reset with putty or from usb? .The reset button does not cause a change.

Yes, back to the correct range after 2 restarts. straight back to the [IP address] refused to connect screen though..

Could you please clear browser cache after this as it may have cached data from before that could be causing an issue.

Are you able to access the DumaOS interface? Are you getting the correct IP address from the R2 as we've been exploring in this thread?

I can't access the r2 interface I did the ip of my computer 192.168.77.144 manually. the result is the same.  I formatted my computer, I tried to connect from another computer, it did not happen.

The address you'll need to enter to get to the interface is 192.168.77.1, or https://dumaos/.

As you say your LAN IP is 192.168.77.144, that shows that the R2 is giving you an IP so it can't be completely dead. How do you mean you formatted your computer?

I think we're going to need to issue you with a replacement I'm afraid. Could you please email us at [email protected] with a link to this thread and your original order number?

Are you seeing anything when you try to access the interface? Hold the reset button for 30 seconds, release, wait 2 minutes then try and access
