danielson1824
Haven't used my R2 in months. Decided to hook it back up today, and am stuck at the " DumaOs not loaded, Dont't worry we will redirect you" screen. I have reset it countless times. It lets me do the start up wizard, but after that i get the error screen. I searched and only found forum posts about netgears having this issue. Is there a way to fix this on the R2? Thanks
Netduma Liam
Could you perhaps try a different browser or in incognito mode? It's possible that this is just a cache issue. I'd also suggest trying to access the interface via https://dumaos/ and see if this works. danielson1824
danielson1824
Thanks for the reply. I’ve tried Chrome, edge, and Mozilla. I put all 3 in private mode, and it was the same result. I also tried the address you recommended in all 3, and it still gave me the same screen. I also tried resetting the R2 again, and do the setup wizard in a private browser. I couldn’t get chrome to load the setup wizard in incognito mode, but was able to get it to load in a private window with edge. Unfortunately it ended in the same result with the DumaOs not loaded yet screen. Not sure what to do from here. :-/

Do you end up at the same page if you refresh without cache (CTRL + F5)? danielson1824
danielson1824
It just goes back to the complete URL. Hitting CTRL + F5 didn’t fix it either
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 14, 2021 Administrators Share Posted May 14, 2021 Press F12 on the page, on the window that appears go to network, click the box to disable cache, right click the browser refresh button and select empty cache and hard reload, does that work? danielson1824
danielson1824
Unfortunately it didn’t work. The video is me clicking the empty cache and hard reload button IMG_0732.MOV
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 14, 2021 Administrators Share Posted May 14, 2021 Unplug the router for 10 minutes, plug in, wait 2 minutes then try accessing, does it load then? danielson1824

This did not correct the issue. It did ask me for my login details though, when I tried to load into the router. But then took me to the error page. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 14, 2021 Administrators Share Posted May 14, 2021 Do you remember whether you had this issue before you stopped using it or perhaps what one of the last things you did on it were, perhaps an upgrade? It was working fine the last time I used it. I believe it has the original firmware on it from when it was shipped to me. I pre-ordered it, and I think got it some time in August. I stopped using it early October I believe, because I started building a pc, and was only using my Xbox at the time. So I’m not sure when firmware updates came out for it originally. So it’s either the original firmware or the first updated firmware for it. Is it possible that the completely outdated firmware is causing a conflict with the current system? I did see there were other people posting about theirs popping up with a Rapp error or something. When I first turned my R2 back on, it initially gave me that red screen with Rapp error or whatever. So I reset it, and that’s when it started giving me the dumaos not loaded screen. Not sure if that means anything about the situation
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 14, 2021 Administrators Share Posted May 14, 2021 Thanks, I don't think that will have had an affect. I think the only way to get this sorted will be to keep factory resetting until it comes alive, hold the reset button for 30 seconds, release, wait 2 minutes then try accessing. Try it a few times and if it still doesn't work let us know please. danielson1824

I did it 10 times before you said to do it more. another 5 times didn't have any change either. So what is the next step here? I've never had a router essentially brick on me, it's interesting because the internet works just fine on it. I just can't get to the interface. Even with the R1's issues, it never gave me this kind of trouble.
