Westy_sw
Hello I’ve just updated my r2 router to the latest firmware and now I don’t have any internet connection from either WiFi or lan from the R2 router, I’ve tried a reboot and a reset and had no luck. I put the lan cable into my isp router and connect to the internet straight away so must be something to do with the R2 router. Any ideas what I could do to fix the no internet problem? Thanks
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 4, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 4, 2021 Hey, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue. I'm assuming you don't need anything like PPPoE etc for a connection? What is your ISP modem/router model? Does the ISP modem give the R2 an IP? Do you have access to the R2? Westy_sw
No I don’t need PPPoE to connect, I have a sky router and yes I can get on to the r2 Doma os dashboard page if that’s what you mean
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 4, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 4, 2021 On the R2 System Information page does it have a WAN IP? If not access the Sky hub, can you see if it has given the R2 an IP? Either way, on the Sky hub set a static/reserved IP for the R2 then reboot the R2 and it should work. Westy_sw
Unfortunately now I can’t get onto the DumaOS page to see what the wan ip is, on the sky router the R2 isn’t showing up as a connect device either
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 4, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 4, 2021 Did that happen randomly or after a reset/reboot? Can you access through: http://192.168.77.1 or http://DumaOS ? What is the IP given to your PC by the R2?
Westy_sw
I reset both the R2 and sky routers to see if that would help but didn’t, can’t get on with either http’s, all I get is the lan cable to my pc is a unidentified network and it doesn’t give me a ip for it
Westy_sw
I get this when I try troubleshoot
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 4, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 4, 2021 Okay do this please just to get access to the interface. Follow this guide (control panel option) https://pureinfotech.com/set-static-ip-address-windows-10/ to set a static IP on your PC use these details: IP 192.168.77.2 Subnet 255.255.255.0 Gateway 192.168.77.1 Then try to access it and let us know the results. What is the LAN IP of the Sky router?
Westy_sw
I’ve came on today and can now access the DumaOS page again, but on system info page it’s says: WAN IP Disconnect, the R2 says the date is Friday October 2nd not sure if that makes any difference or is related to the problem at all
Westy_sw
I’ve also just noticed that there isn’t a light flashing for the 5ghz WiFi
Westy_sw
Is this the correct way the R2 should powers on? FullSizeRender.mov
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 5, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 5, 2021 Update the timezone in the top right of the interface, that may be counteracting with cloud updates etc and could be causing some issues. Once you've done that reboot. Good spot. How long does it do that for?
Westy_sw
The timezone was set to Uk as it should be, so I reset the router again and left it for half an hour came back and now everything seems to be back working I can connect no problem now with lan and WiFi

Westy_sw
I’m back to it not working again, just playing cod last night and the router just froze all the lights where on and not flashing, turned it off at the wall and left it over night now this morning I can’t get access to the internet, and the date has reverted back to the 2nd of October again
