hello guys

 

just exchanged my xbox one S for a PS4 Slim.

after setting all up i tested my internet speeds, this is what im getting:

i have 100/100, QoS on 70%, ps4 ip on DMZ...

on my Xbox i always had 70/70 :S

The console speed tests aren't super accurate, even says it's an estimate under the test. I wouldn't worry too much if you get full speeds via a wired PC. Gaming barely uses any bandwidth so you've got plenty for the console.

regarding the speeds...

i just connected the PS4 to my modem, without the xr500, i get arround 95 download and upload.

i connect the xr 500 again and i get 40 down, 3 or 4 upload...rly wierd...

Could be the Geo-Filter or Traffic Prioritization interfering with it so you can try with that disabled but I don't think it will make much difference. Try a download on each, if they both go at the same speed then the test can be ignored.

didnt check out of the xr500, but when connected to it i was downloading from 10 to 30...dunno if thats good for playstation, but i guess not

That really depends, what are your paid for/expected speeds?

i pay for 100/100

i have QoS at 70%

speedtest on my PC gives me 70/70

on my old xbox i had around 70/70

in my ps4 i get 40/5 give or take

The max download rate you can achieve with your speeds is 12.5 MBps not 100Mbps which is a different unit of measurement so do you see up to 12.5MBps when downloading on each?

upgrade firmware to 3.0, reset and reconfigure...

test on the ps4 i got 42/2, 46/3 and 45/2 :S

 

tested on WIFI 5G and got

41/6, 43/64 and 101/2

wtf...
