congestion sliders not saving on XR500

Recommended Posts

Hello.  I apologize in advance if this was answered.  I just switched from the original R1 to the XR500 running the latest firmware and I noticed when I adjust the sliders to 70% up and down it doesnt stay there.  If I refresh the page it goes back to 100%.  I tried different browsers and different computers and the behavior is the same.  Is there a step I'm missing to keep the sliders at 70%?  Thanks in advanced.

That's odd, are you connecting to the interface using HTTP or HTTPS? If the later use HTTP instead. Do your browsers have any extensions? If so disable them. Are the browsers set to allow cookies?

Did you try typing in 70 instead of using sliders? If you updated the firmware, did you reset the router with a paperclip? I found resetting the router eliminates a lot of problems people are having.

It says not secure so no https.  I disabled the extensions and yes they accept cookies.

You are not logging into the internet in any way here, its http which yes is more insecure but you are logging into the device so really it does not matter as much, its not like logging into a website so it should not matter, even though https support would be great from Netgear.
