Say someone knows my actual ip if i were to use the vpn feature on the router will i be safe or not.

Hi, welcome to the forum! A VPN would protect you, yes. VPN's give you an entirely new IP address and your connection would not be affected if anyone tried to hack or sabotage it.

To use the VPN feature you'll need an existing VPN subscription. Hybrid VPN supports all OpenVPN providers and works on any device you choose. I hope this helps :)

kk well every time i want to connect the vpn i get this msg You are no longer connected to your router. If your router is rebooting then keep this page open as it will automatically reconnect to the router's interface when the reboot is complete. Otherwise please check your connection e.g. you are connected to the correct router.

That means it can't detect you're connected to the router, are you using the VPN feature on the router or on your PC? Also if you try accessing via the IP address when this happens does that work?
