RoyDavis77 53 Posted January 21, 2018 Hi guys, when selecting network monitoring and clicking on the graph to view ports in use, is there anyway of telling if they are tcp or udp ie colour coded, i know it identifies tcp 80 and 443 as http and https but i was wondering if there was a way of knowing if the port in use was tcp or udp. Netduma Fraser 7,529 Posted January 21, 2018 No there isn't to my knowledge. If you're doing it when playing a game though it is more likely to be UDP. 2 N3CR0 and RoyDavis77 reacted to this

RL317 579 Posted January 21, 2018 Have you sussed what's going on with the game and all the ports it seems to use? When you connect to online services there's a big spike for both download and upload, then a smaller spike and clicking this one reveals around 15 ports being used between 30000 and 44850. Sometimes 3074 will be in there but not always. WTF are these ports doing in game? Must have something to do with the two way handshake of packets and data

Must have something to do with the two way handshake of packets and data is DMZ or port forwarding required to include these ports for optimal running of the game? The ports being used from 30000 - 65535 udp sport and dport are the connections to the dedis and port 3074 is used for player communication, the rest who knows lol 1 RL317 reacted to this
