The biggest issue with WW2!! (besides connection)

I remember how bad it was on MW3 when it first came out. I chased a guy round a corner and he sat and reloaded... I thought easy kill and started shooting then bam, I'm dead... killcam showed him reloading and pre aiming at me before I came round the corner. Ghey.

MW3 still benefits from loading down your connection. It's a huge difference and advantage. I would start up YouTube videos or torrents for it to play well. It was one of my favorites of maps and killstreaks of any release. Also guns. I played it many years after release.

I didn't stop playing MW3 until BO3 came out.

In WWII camping far outweighs rushing, just like advanced movement games favor rushing over camping as to being consistently successful.  WWII is for the slower, defensive player.  Other more recent BOTG CoD games allowed for a variety of play styles by providing [a] flank routes with minimal headglitch spots completely stealthy class setups [c] SMGs that kill up close and out to medium range [d] SMG aim-down speed being faster than AR [e] maps that didn't consistently favor the range of AR.

 

And people care about their stats so they play in a way that is most successful and unfortunately that is by camping/headglitching constantly.  Even the best rushers in CoD are having to play a bit more conservatively, and that's not because it's BOTG so much that rushing in this game is like constantly being caught with your pants half down with how slow it is to draw your gun up to people already aiming.  That's why.

Yeah, I have been running shotgun all night, I must be only one not noticing much campers. Just first one, unlocked the other two, not sure if 4th is any good. Some maps are better than others, but none are really any good. Shotguns reload far too slow and the incendiary shells are no better than regular shells. I get more one shot kills with regular than the special ones. Also the class system just isn't very good. Really need to run airborne for shotguns for speed perks. This is worst create a class to date that I have played. Didn't even touch BO3 or IW.

 

The lag is however so frustrating.

I just want my geofilter to work in it. If I can get into a game where my dedi is Seattle it is playable. Lately all it connects me too is Texas. No matter what settings I put on my netduma. The only suggestions I get is set my ping assist to 0 and have Seattle in my geofilter since I live in Montana. When I do that it will search for a game for hours. It is frustrating because I am a stone cold killer. I had a 50-14 game the other night on a good connection. People call me the punisher!! Haha but all kidding aside I would love some help. Do I need to change my port forwarding or my vpn or something like that????? Thanks! If anyone is an experts on these I would gladly give out my phone number to try to fix this.

One other thing im not seeing people mention is the TTK is ridiculously low Hence why we are seeing a lot more campers then usual. I find with Treyarch Games i can survive longer in a gun fight than i can with SHG.

Honestly I think the ttk is about right it’s just connection and hit detection makes it feel like you die too fast cause the sudden insta death. . Since your being shot before you even see them half the time it feels crazy fast, but hang back and watch kill cam or think when your putting a handful of rounds into someone and it seems slower. Just my opinion, but I feel like longer would hurt things if they ever get things working how they should be by now. When connection was good for me I could easily jump or drop and evade then kill people, but since Wednesday that’s basically impossible, 8 out of 10 times I was fine last week when it played well. Now I can barley even manage getting my streaks after going on 15-20 killstreaks very consistently before thanksgiving. I’m hoping for the best, but it seems they’re actually making things worse on top of being more worried about supply drop money than fixing all the huge problems. Gotta say I enjoyed the first month of even IW more than I am this, even with all the hate at least I felt like I had a good consistent game experience.

Switched back to Ghosts on PS4 for a bit tonight. Hit detection was spot on. Even with only 1600 people online. Bullets actually registered and my deaths were because I was outplayed. Maps so much more enjoyable too. Felt right size.

With the slow AF health regeneration, the lack of suppressors on most weapons, the grenades that are definitely coming for you the moment you show up on the map, they can't really make the TTK longer.

 

As it is you're lucky to get away to safety after killing someone, imagine if you had to hang around even longer shooting at someone.

I can’t believe im saying this but they broke the game even more with the latest update!! Flinch is now a huge problem and the connection is even worse!! Wtf are SHG doing???? Wow! You’re telling me I can’t visit HQ without party leader actually backing out or without me leaving the lobby?? Not to mention joining friends party only to be put in separate HQs this game is officially trash.... I read SHG didn’t actually want to make a ww2 game, well now I believe it!

I still think CoD should be a single online experience with a culmination of maps and weapons. Where there is a single engine hat is refined over time for the best play experience possible instead of this yearly reset. Just have a monthly subscription for it. Going back to Ghosts, it felt like it had the best connection, the best movement and the best aim mechanics of any release ever. Also best create a class. Since then the series has completely gone downhill taking out all the positives and adding negatives like microtransactions, stupid emotes, this new HQ which doesn't even seem to work... Maps have gone from 16 to 9 on launch and DLC has been loads of rehashed old maps.

 

I would like to see IW do the multiplayer, 3arc do zombies and leave SHG to do a yearly campaign.

If you want frustration try to play in Montana. And I agree ghost was a great game. This one has potential but they need to fix flinch, let you have scilencers on any gun, get rid of basic training and get more maps!!!

I almost went back to MWR last night after I saw the new flinch....

This game is just not meant for rushing. 

 

Primary issues holding this game back imo...

 

Connection (the worst for me since mw3)

Create a Class (should have stuck with pick 10)

The guns don't feel right (unless its one of the rifles or sniper rifles)

Sprint out time is to slow (should match ads time and should stack with quickdraw)

To much flinch

 

Other lesser issues

Maps (all of them are average at best, also F*ck Gustav Cannon)

The menu system (everything is harder and takes longer than it use to thanks to headquarters)

Supply drops (the biggest cancer in cod history, but hasn't affected gameplay in this cod yet)

Hard to notice map voting (can't skip Gustav)

Killstreaks suck imo (I don't even bother with higher killstreaks any more)

Needs unlimited sprint or longer sprint than what is currently in the game

Screen shake from friendly explosives (makes it impossible to see what your shooting)

 

There are more, but this is all I've got off the top of my head

Yeah AW was absolutely shite. SHG has no business in this series. Have no idea how they ever got in it.

I’m one to normally defend the early bugs and issues to give them time to fix things cause these are huge releases, but we’re over a month in after multiple betas in a game that’s been remade for many years now. It’s totally inexcusable at this point, Infinity wards even feeling bad for shg after their pre release hate session with IW last year, which turned out to be a lot of fun and compared to this was the greatest launch in gaming history. Not really, but wow it feels like a flawless win at this point in comparison, especially with remastered bundled and both still being totally playable at launch.
