Shane 66 Posted September 16, 2017 I take it this is really bad? This is when using the Duma, need to test straight from HUB next. For any of you that play Destiny, whenever I'm in an online event my connection bar is the lowest.I take it my ping plotter results is the reason why? Shane 66 Posted September 16, 2017 mine after a 10 min result just taken! is that doing nothing or playing an online game at the same time?
BIG__DOG 2,262 Posted September 16, 2017 is that doing nothing or playing an online game at the same time? no, it is running at idle, nothing running.
Netduma Jack 1,640 Posted September 16, 2017 is that doing nothing or playing an online game at the same time? These issues could potentially be caused by your line, so it's always worth running a pingplotter test through your Modem wired to a PC to find out. I can't imagine it's nice playing with those spikes! If you find that your connection to the Modem is good, then try switching the Ethernet between your Netduma and the Modem. 1 ColonicBoom reacted to this
Shane 66 Posted September 16, 2017 This is the results when playing Fifa 17 pro clubs on PS4, look at the difference compared to Destiny 2. The orange spike is my PS4 booting up
Zennon 5,719 Posted September 16, 2017 That is some difference. I would test Idle from the modem / router for 10, destiny for 10 then Fifa for 10, so they are in a tight time frame to rule out ISP congestion. Then if it is just destiny doing it check the bandwidth usage in the Netduma and make sure you are controlling the congestion 70/70 as a starting point. 1 ColonicBoom reacted to this
Shane 66 Posted September 16, 2017 This is just idle straight from BT HH3 10 minutes of Destiny 2 strike straight from BT HH3 10 Minutes of fifa 17 pro clubs (PS4) straight from BT HH3
Zennon 5,719 Posted September 16, 2017 That proves it is Destiny 2, the only explanation to me would be you are the host and you do not have enough bandwidth and your CC is not set to stop the spikes on your upload.
Shane 66 Posted September 16, 2017 That proves it is Destiny 2, the only explanation to me would be you are the host and you do not have enough bandwidth and your CC is not set to stop the spikes on your upload. Just ran it with network monitor on, results: Download peaked - 615.4kbit - averaging between 189 to 220 Upload peaked - 251.4kbit - averaging between 189 to 220 Average download % - 4% Average upload % - 39%
Shane 66 Posted September 16, 2017 So do you reckon I just physically can not play Destiny 2 because of my bandwidth?
Zennon 5,719 Posted September 16, 2017 No the results say you can, it is strange the jitter when you do. I will test mine on Destiny 2 Xbox while I game when I can over the weekend and let you know my findings.

Zennon 5,719 Posted September 16, 2017 Yeah it's the same as idle 16ms min 17ms max while playing D2 Xbox one.
Shane 66 Posted September 16, 2017 Yeah it's the same as idle 16ms min 17ms max while playing D2 Xbox one. So what the hell could mine possibly be?! I've no idea what to do with it apart from stop playing and sell the xbox

Shane 66 Posted September 16, 2017 Sell your Xbox over one game, nar. I might grab a copy of it on PS4 and see if the same things happening. But the whole starting another 2 characters from scratch is too time consuming

Have you tried gaming without the Netduma on destiny while ping plotting are the results the same?
Shane 66 Posted September 17, 2017 This should not be happening to you at all. Have you tried gaming without the Netduma on destiny while ping plotting are the results the same? I have yeah, the very first image is the result with the Duma. 1 bar in game and voice cut outs in party chat. The exact same.
