  1. Hello all! I've been having very bad speed issue ever since installing the R2 on March 5th, here's the brief: - I saw the most recent firmware in news, downloaded it and left it for 7 days hoping it'd fix my issues, but it has not. Pictured below is a speed test on the router itself and on fast.com via my computer connected by Ethernet. https://imgur.com/a/g4pM5A0 https://imgur.com/a/moQbRxd ---- "Backstory" I have contacted Liam and Fraser privately about this matter and tried numerous things they have sent me, and none have worked. After approximately 5 days (unsure of when this occurs exactly) my connection drops from 550mbps to 95mbps download, I'm not worried about upload as that's pretty bad for me regardless. I've had this issue since March 5th and tried 3+ different software versions, I don't see anyone complaining about this issue either, which is odd. The only break I get from this issue is when i reboot the router and temporarily i will have my full speeds for what i presume a few days before the 5-day mark or even sooner, i haven't measured the exact time frame. Needless to say, it is always occurring within 5 days of rebooting. - Other things: My modem is in modem mode the Ethernet cable from my modem to R2 router is capable of the speeds and is not damaged or interference occurring The cable from the R2 router to my PC is capable of the speeds of my internet & not damaged Drivers on my PC are fully up-to-date ISP is not limiting my speeds - I am genuinely annoyed at this issue as I have not been given any potential resolve that has 100% worked since the start when I noticed this reoccurring issue on March 5th.
Test PC Via Fritzbox->XR500->LAN.K.->PC 2. Test PC Via Fritzbox->XR500->LAN.K.->PC 3. Das is Stabil.
  3. Hi! My problem is that R2 router has a different Internet download speed than the Internet modem provider. Interestingly that uploading is the same but the download speed is not! I use Vodafone modem in Bridge mode to the router. QoS is turned off on the router. What can cause the problem? The pictures show the difference well.
  4. Just taking a quick google search for "slow XR300" came back with more results than I expected, but my issues seems to be a smidge bit different. I bought my XR300 last year when I only had 200Mb/s down knowing I would upgrade in the future, I paired it with a Netgear CM1000v2. I just recently upgraded to 1Gb internet service. I noticed my speeds are not quite up to snuff. When I run speed tests I get anywhere from 250Mb/s to 450Mb/s and it is different every time I run the test, but it is usually around 400Mb/s. I called comcast to double check the wiring to the house and the service. They replaced the old cable and verified that the modem is getting about 965Mb/s. I was able to directly connect my computer to the modem and see 945Mb/s (proves Cat5e cable I have is good). When I connect my XR300 in between the modem and my computer I get about ~400Mb/s. If I disable QoS I get about ~700Mb/s, better but not quite there. Setup is as follows CM1000v2->XR300->PC Things I've tried: Only computer connected to the network Network map table view shows 1000Mbits Full Duplex Monitoring statistics shows 1000M/Full status Firmware is up to date I have reset the modem and router several times Things I've noticed: When running a speed test I see 1 CPU core jump to 100%, but the other sits around 20% Speedtests are very random, before typing this post I was getting 400Mb/s, right before posting I got 600Mb/s. back to back runs usually stay fairly close, but different times of day are different performance. Speedtest.net the speed usually slowly ramps up to the final numbers, is this normal? I seem to remember it usually just sat at whatever speed my family had as a kid. WiFi test on my phone shows ~350Mb/s While the 400ish Mb/s is plenty for only me to use, I'm about to be getting roommates and I'd like to be able to have the bandwidth for all of us at the same time. Plus the whole "I'm paying for it, where is it" usual thing.
  5. Hello, my speeds from my ISP are 500mbps download and my upload is 20mbps. I achieve these speeds when I am hardwired directly into the modem, but when I try to hardwire directly into the router I hardly get over 100mbps download and my upload seems to be right around 16-20mbps consistently. I also experience very poor signal strength and intermittent internet. I have the antennas up, and have a fair to poor connection on the same floor of my house as the router. I have had numerous tech agents from my ISP at my house, and replaced the modem a few times with no success. My ISP has confirmed that there is nothing wrong on their end as when testing their own basic modem I get the exact speeds I should and my connection strength is strong on all 3 floors of my house. My R2 also has the latest firmware update which doesnt seem to help the issue at all as this has been going on for some time. If I do not have this issue resolved soon I will have to ship my router back and move on from the R2.
  6. So I have a 200MBPS download and 20 ish upload package, works fine when connected directly to my ISP router at full speed however, no matter what settings/cables I use I never exceed 100mb using the netduma. This is using speedtest.net with nothing running in the background and all other devices turned off. test is run on a very good desktop PC as well so its not an issue of testing it incorrectly. I have also tested it on wifi and i get around 80 down with full connection but the full 200 when testing from the ISP router alone. I have tried numerous resoluttions such as turning on/off turbo mode, turning off the congestion control, resetting to factory defaults, turning off ipv6, among other solutions but none has made any difference at all. Any Ideas?
  7. Hello everyone, Had netduma for 2 years now and its been awesome. Recent switch to ATT fiber and getting 1000 down and 1000 upload speed. With netduma I was reaching 600 download and 582 upload speed, which was really great. Was working fine for 3 months up until now. When I go to speed test I am only getting 87 down and 86 upload speed, even though I have the same settings. So I thought it was my modem acting up. So then i decided to plug my pc direct to ATT modem and was getting 980 download and upload speeds. I've resetted the netduma router already and have the same settings last time. I am still getting 87 max. Is there a fix or an update I need to do? Thanks in advance.
