Hi all, I've read here that if I want to use my xr300 with Sky (SR203 G.Fast router) I'd need to add the xr300's WAN IP to the DMZ I tried doing this but when I go to the xr300's settings, the wan IP shows as 0.0.0.0 Is this because I need to connect the xr300 to the sky router via ethernet first? edit: I think I have solved the issue but I have another question, do I now have to disable the wifi on my sky router to prevent double NAT? I added the new WAN IP to the sky DMZ but still getting double NAT

sky fibre [HOWTO] Sky Fibre And You
muffintastic posted a topic in DumaOS on NETGEAR Nighthawk Support
Hello Community. This topic is mainly for Sky Fibre users who want to eliminate two routers, and double NAT. Sky is a UK ISP who provide fibre but also supply a crappy self OEM router which lacks anything good and their stupid DHCP Option 61 (MER) authentication system which pretty much means you can't use your own equipment on their network, so you have to use the XR500 behind DMZ blah blah and causing a double NAT issue when playing games and makes the XR500 less effective. I've made a quick PDF guide to setup the XR500 on it's own and best to my knowledge is just a rough guide on what I did to get it working without a Sky router modem combo. I ran the PDF through Virus Total for the benefit of the community, results are here: VirusTotal Results Admins, If this isn't allowed please delete. Sky And XR500 and YOU!.pdf -
Looking for option 61 support for my R8000 router with a DM200. I can get the DM200 to connect but I have no UPnP support amongst other things when it is used as the router.

Hi all, So as you can probably tell by the title, my current broadband provider (IDNET Gaming) is coming to a long awaited end. Just need some advice on what to go to next really, so far ive had BT and TalkTalk previously, and out the three, I must say i've probably had the best experince gaming with BT funnily enough. I have been contemplating sky, just to see how it is, as ive heard alot of good things about them online. My only issue with sky, which is also probably the deal breaker, is the fact that they dont let you use your own modem router combination for some odd reason. Does anyone have any idea if they are still implementing that rule??? or is there a way to bypass this?? Currently im using a HG612 with the XR500 and it seems to work well for my line. Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Regards,
