  1. I just switched from spectrum cable to CenturyLink fiber and I am having to change settings for the PPPoE. I have tried most of what I could find in other forums and online but when I enter the set up wizard it says there is no ethernet plugged in. It’s a brand new cord so I don’t think it’s that but I will try tomorrow. Is there any other know issues I should be considering?
  2. I have noticed a possible error with on the Xr500. I did a dns leak test whilst connected to my vpn provider and noticed a leak. I went and changed dns servers and my connection went dead, not even a reboot would restore the link. I had to start the "setup wizard" in order for the link to be established. I did not have to go through the setup completely just until i put in my pppoe credentials. It is a long time since I did a dns leak test so not too sure if it is the current firmware. I would need other members to try and change dns who have pppoe to know for sure.
  3. Hello, I have the new Netgear XR500 DumaOS powered router having upgrded from a Netduma R1. The unit has had problems since day one and intially refused to establish a internet connection to my ISP with the setup wizard failing everytime. Instead I connected my XR500 to my Netgear DM200 modem in routrer mode. Not wishing to be defeated I tried again to get the XR500 connected directly. This time I set the VLAN tag my ISP requires (101) in Adavanced option, then I went back to Internet settings and tried again. Success, the XR500 connected. For a few days all was well but the the host filtering stopped working for one of my connected devices. Fraser at Netduma assisted but could not resolve so I restarted the XR500. Since then the XR500 refuses to connect to my ISP. I have tried hard resseting the device and going through all the steps I followed previously to no avail. If I swap my DM200 back into modem/router mode it works fine with all the same settings. If I swap an old Zyxcel router with Vigor modem everything works fine also. I'm with IDNET in the UK who require a VLAN ID tag of 101 but nothing else especially different in their set-up. Can anyone help?
  4. Hello everyone! I usually used a PPPoE configuration on my PS4 on my ISP router to get NAT type 1. Now with my Netduma I can’t obtain an IP address with the same configuration. If I set automatic LAN settings the console can connect to the internet but with NAT 2. Do someone know how to solve this issue?
  5. Hi all, I've just switched providers today and have a new PPPoE login for my internet service. My cuurent set-up is Huawei HG612 > Netduma. Now here's the catch, when i enter the details of my PPPoE into the Netduma and click apply i cant connect to the internet. But i can connect directly when I hardwire my laptop to the modem. So i know there's no issues with the cabling or the modem itself. Ive applied a full factory reset on the Netduma numerous amount of times but to no avail. At this moment in time ive currently changed my setup and have a netgear nighthawk which is working just fine once i entered the PPPoE details. When i rang the tech support from my isp he did tell me that the netduma is still trying to connect with the previous PPPoE details and asked if i could clear the cache and try again. Ive re-booted and done atleast 3 factory resets already but cant log on. Ive checked over the PPPoE details numerous times but to no avail?? What is going on?? Screenshots available upon request. All help is greatly appreciated, Regards
  6. Hi: My NetDuma cannot connect to the internet (wifi or hardwired). When I tested a Netgear Nighthawk X4S it was able to connect to the internet both wifi and hardwired. I have been in contact with someone from NetDuma via email, but I figured I would use the forum. While connected via Ethernet, I am able to connect to the Netduma interface. WAN settings currently are: WAN MAC Address - Disabled WAN VLAN - Disabled IPv6 - Enabled MTU - Enabled PPPoE - Disabled WAN IP - Disabled Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!
