  4. So today we saw the new beautiful machine R2!! Congratulations guys!!! i have a lot of questions about that... you say that it will be release 6th August with the DumaOS 3.0. That means that we have also the DumaOS 3.0 that day?? On the XR routers?? I hope that you will not give a time exclusive on the R2... And now I want ONE honest answer... I must sell my XR500 to buy the R2???? Which is better?????
  5. One of the things my wife noticed right away was it took longer for streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and heaven forbid...Britbox to load. They buffered for a while longer than they do on my Edge Router. Some of the streaming apps took considerably longer, but they still worked. I have a 100/100 Fiber ISP service, and buffering is not something we are used to seeing. I'm wondering if this delay is because of the DumaOS magic that is going on behind the scenes in the R2?

  8. So after months of hyping up the community about duma 3.0 for nighthawk devices, then boom, R2 announce and release. Now for people that spend $300 add on Netgear devices are now left in the dark and we gonna have to wait until the beta reaches us or another year so to fully release. I personally not going to spend another $150 for a device for just upgrade OS that we all should have gotten for free.

  10. Hello, I am having the following issue with the R1. After accidentally unpluging the power source, I can no more access the R1's interface. I tried accessing it using both my Windows 10 desktop pc which is connected to it with ethernet cable and two Android devices via Wifi. In both cases I tried with Chrome and Firefox. I get prompted to enter my username and password as usual but now my username and password do not get accepted. I don't get a wrong username or password message, it just refreshes the page that asks for my credentials. I also tried the default admin password but still nothing. To make things worse the factory reset option by long pressing the reset button on the back of the R1 does not work. I have repeatedly tried to press the button for more than a minute and nothing happens. At this point I am completly blocked from accessing the router's interface. The R1's firmware is 1.03.6j.
  11. I have serious problems with the geo filter. I briefly explain: I have two xbox connected on the same network. I set the location through the filter on the pacific ocean so as to find only the two consoles in the same lobby. Unfortunately, however, it only finds other people except the two consoles. How can I solve it? Here my settings.
  12. I have several Windows 10 laptops running the latest updates. These machines can connect to my Nighthawk XR450 once and then that's it. Once they go to sleep, the next time I attempt to reconnect to the internet, I get the "Secured, No Internet" message. Sometimes an ipconfig /release and /renew works. Sometimes it does not. I've reset the connections completely and that worked, again, once. The oddest part, or more frustrating part, every other wireless device connected to the Nighthawk has no issues. Phones, tablets, Switch, Roku, etc. . . However, none of those really "sleep" per se. The Windows machines are the only ones that sleep. I've attempted different settings in the Wi-Fi configuration. Do not allow Windows to sleep the Wi-Fi card, changing channels on the router to avoid communication conflicts, turning on IPV6, etc. . . To no avail unfortunately. Also, I have an access point, a converted Linksys router that acts as an Access Point. The Windows 10 laptops can connect to that just fine. And then can connect to the internet. Coming out of sleep or not. They reconnect, and I'm golden. Is there a handshake occurring between the Nighthawk and Windows 10 that does not happen again after the initial connection? Windows 10 also increments the network every time I do manage to get it to connect. Like it's the first time it's seeing the router/network. While connecting to the Linksys Access Point is a solution, it's disappointing to not be able to connect to this fancy new router that I have. Again, all other devices, wired and wireless have no issues. Just Windows 10 wirelessly. Any ideas would be welcome! Thanks all!

  14. Hola, ayer por la tarde decidi cambiar el software de mi Netduma R1 colocandole el firmware de Dumaos. Una vez que logre actualizar mi router, quiero ingresar a la interfaz de Dumaos y no puedo de ninguna manera, ya restaure el router de fabrica colocando un perno delgado y apretando el boton reset del netduma r1 y ni aun asi puedo ingresar a la interfaz de Dumaos, lo intente en otros navegadores de internet y tampoco puedo, borre el cache y las cookies y sigo sin poder acceder a dumaos interfaz. Necesito una solucion urgente por favor, gracias!. Saludos desde Argentina 🙂

Bonjour , il y a encore peu de temps je pouvais accéder à DumaOs mais aujourd'hui en tentant de me connecter, je n'étais pas sur le même écran affichant il y avait que "settings", je me suis donc déconnecté et reconnecter la même a choisi je ne sais pas quoi faire.   16. Hey all, I have severe connection issues with modern warfare (and ps4) and I hope you can help me. First Problem: PS4 Party Chat It is really difficult creating a party where I can talk to my friends. The geofilter blocks them for some reason. Even when I whitelist them, it takes at least 8 times rejoining until i can talk to them (they also live inside the radius). Is there a fix to this? Second Problem: Extreme Lag (Despite using Ping Assist) At first only 1 out of 10 games were extremely laggy, but now almost every game is very very laggy, it looks like this: I have set a Geofilter radius around me. And even set a Ping assist, but lobbies like this happen way too often. Sometimes, the game starts regularly, and after 1 min it goes downhill. Especially when I connect to the server in Italy I always get a laggy game. I think this might be a mislocated server (wish I could give you the ID of it, but when I click on it the tab down right loads for ever) Also: Why do server sometimes show up as a server icon and sometimes as a Peer Icon? Third Problem: Mislocated Servers / Another Geofilter Problem? Sometimes I get connected to a server outside my radius as seen here: Once I got connected to a Server in Paris, and once in the South of England. (The one in Paris i got connected with a ping assist of 40. the one in england my ping assist was at 0). Mislocated servers as well? I never whitelisted them. Fourth Problem: Mini Lags / Package loss In games where I dont lag all over the place (rare at the moment...) I have always package loss or mini lags as seen here: Package loss indicator on the left. Right now I cant really tell if the lobby I am in i am getting the best connection possible. Either Mini lags or complete disconnect. I play on a wired connection. Alright this was a little much input sorry. But I just want it to work again like in the beginning where I got my XR500 (October 30). Everything worked perfectly then. I got a perfect lobby every time, never had lag or connection loss, my shots connected and no PS4 Party connection issues. I just don't know what happened that it doesnt work like that anymore.   17. Hi all, I seem to have issues with the geofilter on my XR500. I live in Germany. When I bought the XR500 I set my radius on around 450 KM around me to connect to the 2 closest Modern Warfare servers (taken from the dumaOS Modern Warfare Servers). At the beginning, it worked perfectly. It took a little bit longer to find a game, but when I did the connection was amazing! Now, since some days, I find games extremely quick and play against people from spain for example, who clearly had a connection advantage (so I guess the server was closer to them, outside of my radius) So I did a test: I shrunk the circle to the minimum (100KM), in this radius there are only villages around my city, and non of the servers are in the radius. According to the radius, I shouldn't find any games. But then I searched for a game and found one immediately, playing against spanish and french people (I live in east germany). Does anyone know why it suddenly stopped to filter? Hope someone can help me! Thanks in advance!
  18. Hello, I've been noticing everyday at 1:44 PM that my Computers internet will cut out for a split second and then reconnect. I was trying to figure out for awhile what was causing this and in my routers logs, I see that the DHCP lease renewal is happening at that same exact time each day. The big issue with that is that I have a job and work during the time this keeps occurring and it cuts me off of my work software and any calls that I am currently on. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to change the timing on the lease change, without having to manually be on to do it. I'd like to try to set it for something like 4AM in the morning, so that way it won't interfere with anything going on from 7AM - 1AM. I just bought my XR500 last week and noticed this happening right away, but thought it was something else going on. I tried calling support today and they told me the DHCP lease change should not be cutting my internet and didn't really do much to help, was told I was getting a callback in 30 minutes and have gotten none in the past hour, so any help is appreciated. Edit: I also noticed another weird issue looking over my logs again. It seems like one of my IP's seems to not renew correctly. Not sure what is going on there, but the device is a PLW1000. Hello Dumaos army, I have the Netgear XR500 since one and a half year, and it's working great and as expected. but lately I am having a bug in reading the ping, whatever server I connect to, it show maximum 5ms. It is just a reading bug because my ping assist is at 55 ms and it usually connect me to same servers that I used to be connected to, before this bug. Knowing that I am in the middle east and I usually connect to European servers and sometimes the US servers. I have tried everything from hard reset to downgrade my firmware and then upgrade but to no avail. I am currently on V2.3.2.56 and I only play call of duty. What could be causing this, and is there any remedy to it? Thanks,
  20. So I’m back with a few issues I’m noticing with QOS. As a refresher, you guys sent me a replacement R1 as I had one of the earliest shipped ones. It’s been working better than the previous, but hear me out. If I turn off QOS, I get my expected speeds (230/50ish). If I set my sliders at 70/70 the download is all over the place - it’ll go from 20-160 and and causes what I can only guess without checking PingPlotter a lot of spikes. It’s also not a smooth curve like the upload would be - like it’s only affecting download. If I uncheck share excess it does the same thing. If I set my console to be limited by the flower, it also does the same thing. It’s like it’s only half working or something. Any suggestions? My log is also full of errors again - I’ll post it when I get home. Edit: Using UPNP, Traffic Priority set for always, everything is hardwired, WiFi is off, and I’m on the latest firmware
  21. I've been trying to setup hybridvpn using the surfshark openvpn files, but the connection always fails. I contacted the people over at surfshark and they told me the R1 does not support openvpn client just openvpn server, is this true? What's confusing me is I have read on this forum about people who have successfully set this up.
  22. Hello everyone! Has anyone who has the xr300 noticed any problems with the wifi since the last update? I noticed that my smartphone tends not to receive notifications or messages when I'm not using my phone. I tried to go back to the old firmware and it seems to work all right.
  23. To everyone and anyone with ANY knowledge of DumaOS and the nighthawk XR300, help a fellow gearhead out! Brief backdrop of my current situation. Just purchased a CM700 modem and an XR300 pro gaming router to escape xfinitys stronghold and limitations. I’ve always had an issue with xfinitys hardware! All their modems/routers were “defective” which resulted in poor connection, multiple techs sent out to my home, constant device swaps. So I took the initiative to escape that misery. I was so anxious for my new hardware. Tried optimizing settings on DumaOS but no luck! I game on a PS4 Pro which is hardwired to the XR300. I live in Illinois. I mostly play Fortnite. ISP is Xfinity/150MBPs. My issue is, Geo filtering doesn’t work. Ping is high 30’s. Before I was getting 20-23. . When I try to configure settings via Geo Filter I’m shown “Nil 2.5” “Nil” with an adjustable bar. And under that “Nil” with a checkmark. I pinned geo filter to my dashboard to monitor my ping and it doesn’t measure my latency/ping, for example I should be shown “12ms”, instead it’ll indicate “Nil”, no actual values. Someone, anyone, help! I purchased these for the sake of optimizing performance! I feel like I’m not getting the most out of my new hardware! Also, if anyone can suggest specific configurations/settings, it would greatly be appreciated! This is all very new to me! Thank you to you all in advance! Looking forward to your replies! Ozzi

  25. ***June 2019 - I Upgraded my XR500 to a XR700 | The result is the same on the WAN Port I get a Disconnected from LAN on my PS4 Pro*** I recently purchased a Netgear Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR500 to see if it can handle my new internet gigabit speed because my old Netduma R1 was not able to go above 230mbit/s with QoS and 500mbit/s without QoS. The good news, I can reach the gigabit speed with or without QoS but I still get a Disconnected from LAN while I'm playing Street Fighter V Arcade Edition on my PS4 Pro. My XR500 is on the firmware V2.3.240 and I continue to get the same issue that I started a topic for the Disconnected from LAN on the Netduma R1with DumaOS Development Milestone 1.3: forum.netduma.com/topic/27085-disconnected-from-lan/ Could you please have a look on the log file to see if this could be the same issue that occur in the DumaOS Development Milestone 1.3?
